REGIONAL UNIVERSITY ROAD SHOW 2014 Senior high school students across Armidale and the New England will get the chance to discover more about university life and potential career paths when the Regional University Road Show comes to town on Tuesday, 25 February. A joint venture by Charles Sturt University, Southern Cross University and the University of New England, the road show will feature presentations on a range of topics including admission, university life, scholarships and study options. The Uni Road Show will be held in the Duval Staff Common Room and all Year 12 students are encouraged to attend!

In 2014, the Science Faculty will provide an opportunity for science students to challenge themselves in the Big Science Competition. This one-hour international competition is open to students of all abilities at three different levels: Junior (Years 7 and 8), Intermediate (Years 9 and 10) and Senior (Years 11 and 12). Questions test students' critical thinking and problem-solving skills as well as their science knowledge. Each student who takes part will receive a certificate as well as detailed feedback on their performance in the competition. They also go into a draw to win hundreds of iTune and movie vouchers. The Big Science Competition will be held in school between 21 and 28 May 2014. Registrations close 16 April 2014. Talk to Mr Puri or your science teacher about entering.
