Twelve Dover Street is prominently situated in the prime section of Dover Street opposite the iconic Dover Street Arts Club — originally founded by Charles Dickens and others in 1863.
London boasts one of the largest art markets in the world and is an important location for international art galleries. There has been a recent trend in new international galleries making their London debut with Mayfair remaining the traditional heartland for artists and galleries. Dover Street is an established gallery location evident by the recent opening by Thaddaeus Ropac in Ely House, a historic Mayfair mansion, where he will showcase the works of more than 60 major artists.
The Arts Club
Royal Arcade
Dover Street is the ideal location to create experiential retail and for global players to showcase their brand.
International shoppers have boosted sales figures as they continue to be attracted to the West End by the post-Brexit decline in the value of sterling.
International demand in the Mayfair district has gone from strength to strength in 2017 with sales to non-EU tourists up 28% between July and August. Sales to Chinese tourists have increased by 59% over the period. American, Indian and Russian shoppers have also flocked to the West End stores.
