REGION 13 TRAINING CONFERENCEDIVISION 10 SOUTH @ THE

Not only was this event a great chance for officers to learn about leadership, but it also gave the members a chance to bond with other Key Clubs. Overall, this [event] was very fun and left a welcoming impression on Key Club for new members. Because of this event, both members and officers were given the chance to learn more [about] and explore the roles of a leader in Key Club. Brandon Lee, a member of Gabrielino Key Club, says that, “RTC was an awesome way to intrigue new members because it allowed us to meet new people in our region, and overall it was a great learning experience.” From the Re-gional Training Conference, officers were also able to learn the roles of not only their own position in the club, but other positions as well. This is beneficial because each officer would be able to help each other and under-stand each other’s point of view, resulting in

a stronger workforce and more effective co-operation.

RTC was a very fun and interesting experience. I got to meet many people and learn new things at the sessions. From the icebreakers to the spirit battle,I had an amazing time just hanging out with fellow key clubers. I recommend that every member should go [next time], so they can experience the event themselves and see how wonderful and enjoyable it is!

This year’s RTC was very memorable for me. It was my very first RTC experience, and I also had the opportunity to lead an editor’s workshop with D15’s Newsletter Editor Ingrid Channa. I was pretty nervous--after all, it was my first time leading a workshop in front of a larger audience. Thank you for allowing me to share my knowledge with all of you! I hope my shaky voice didn’t take away from the content of the workshop, and that the powerpoint contained a lot of help-ful information. I promise to work on my public speaking skills, and give everyone a better performance in the future. Next time you see me standing next to that projector, I won’t be so nervous anymore!
