MOBILE PHONE ARE BANNED IN THE CAMPUS OF UPSC EXAMINA TION HALLS davp 55101/14/0007/1617 6 ISIS men conspired to carry out terror acts: NIA to court NEW DELHI, July 18: Six suspected ISIS operatives were allegedly conspiring to carry out terror activities in national capital and adjoining regions and during Ardh Kumbh in Haridwar to terrorise people, the NIA today told a special court. According to the sources, in its charge sheet filed before District Judge Amar Nath, National Investigation Agency (NIA) claimed that the accused were planning to assemble Improvised Explosive Devices (IEDs) from explosive materials extracted from "match sticks". The court has put up the charge sheet for consideration on August 25. The charge sheet was filed against Akhlakur Rehman, Mohd Azeemushan, Mohd Meraj, Mohd Osama, Mohsin Ibrahim Sayyed and Yosuf-Al-Hindi under Section 120 B (conspiracy) of IPC and several provisions of Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act (UAPA) in the case. While the five accused are currently in judicial custody, Yosuf-Al-Hindi is wanted in the case. "They were conspiring to carry out a terror activity in the area of Delhi/NCR and during Ardh Kumbh festival in Haridwar in order to create terror in the minds of people of India and send global message that they are rep- resentatives of ISIS in India," the charge sheet said. It further added that the "accused owed their allegiance to Islamic State/Islamic State and Levant (ISIL)/ Islamic State of Iraq and Syria (ISIS) to fur- ther its activities in India by way of motivating Muslim youths in this regard and ultimately train and prepare them to carry out terror activities in India and also to shift them to countries like Syria, Iraq etc." "...They were conspiring to carry out terror acts by planting IEDs during the Ardh Kumbh Mela, Haridwar, and for this, they were in the process of acquiring explosives and the necessary expertise in assem- bling the IEDs with the help of literature provided to one of them through internet," the charge sheet said. The case was filed by the special cell of Delhi Police on January 18, 2016. On the direc- tions of Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA), the case was later transfered to NIA. The report further said that the members of the gang were in touch with each other through mobile phones and various other communication platforms such as WhatsApp, Surespot, Twitter, Trillian, Skype and Facebook. "Their association with each other is established on record and the recovery of explosives in the form of explosive materi- als from the matchsticks. The extraction of explosive nmateri- als from match sticks was to be used for assembling of IEDs," the report said. "Incriminating pictures of slain ISIS terrorists... videos containing different Muslim clerics giving motivational speeches regarding religion, Jehadi literature, blood shed- ding, bombardment videos, hate speeches and explanation of how to prepare IEDs with the help of match sticks and fire- crackers, audio files containing provocative religious preaching of Maulana Masood Azhar and others against Hindus," the charge sheet said. (PTI) Locos to have radar based device to navigate in bad weather NEW DELHI, July 18: Eager to enhance visibility of loco drivers during bad weather, railways has firmed an action plan to install a device of infra-red video camera with radar-based system on locomo- tives. Aptly named Tri-Netra, the device aims to enhance the vision of locomotive pilots in inclement weather. According to a senior Railway Ministry official, the terrain imaging for diesel driv- ers infra-red, enhanced optical and radar assisted system (Tri- Netra) will be a great help for train operation during winter and heavy rain. The system shall be made up of high-resolution optical video camera, high sensitivity infra- red video camera and addition- ally a radar-based terrain map- ping system. These three components of the system shall act as three eyes (Tri-Netra) of the locomo- tive pilot.(PTI)

6 ISIS men conspired to carry out terror acts: NIA to courtNEW DELHI, July 18:

Locos to have radar based device to navigate in bad weather

NEW DELHI, July 18:

Eager to enhance visibilityof loco drivers during badweather, railways has firmed anaction plan to install a device ofinfra-red video camera withradar-based system on locomo-tives.

Aptly named Tri-Netra, thedevice aims to enhance thevision of locomotive pilots ininclement weather.

According to a seniorRailway Ministry official, theterrain imaging for diesel driv-ers infra-red, enhanced opticaland radar assisted system (Tri-Netra) will be a great help fortrain operation during winterand heavy rain.
