Program Description

The Online Blended ELMT program is a 12-week course, whichcombines self-paced online training and instructor-guided facility-based training for entry-level medical transcription (ELMT).

The trainee receives a study guide and student manual from TTSI thatstipulates the required materials the trainee needs to study andactivities that need to be accomplished every week.

What is Online-Blended ELMT?

Online-Blended ELMT is a combination of online and facility-basedtraining. The blended training will be for 12 weeks and an online On-The-Job Simulation after that for 160 hours. A portion of the training will bedone at a designated training facility during weekends for a total of 12weekend sessions for feedback, skills measurement and validation.

How long is the training?

Training will last for twelve (12) weeks or 3 months exclusive of the On-The-Job Simulation (OJS). The facility-based training will be done on a

meeting/session. The online training is a self-phased learning withprescribed study guides. The trainee has the prerogative in terms of thenumber of hours he/she has to spend daily for the training. The traineewill be provided lectures and activities which is equivalent to 17 hours ofactual training time. It is the responsibility of the trainee to study andreview these materials during the week since these sessions will be thetopics covered during the weekly facility-based training and validation.

What are the requirements for the training?

The student should have the required hardware, software and internetconnection. He/She should be able to attend the weekly feedback andvalidation sessions and pay the training fees.

Hardware:At least Pentium 4 processor, 256MBRAM, 100MB free hard disk space,sound card, a serial port (for foot pedal),and earphones.

Internet Connection:At least 256mbps internet connection
