The financial year 2016-17 is nearer to closer by 31st March 2017, so that special

drive has been taken up for improving and for 100% collection of taxes and non taxes. All

employees are drafted for collection of property tax and water tax duly giving daily targets.

Myself has also fixed target and contacted the tax payers who are highest dues pending over

by phone.

To effectively face water throb/severity in ensuing summer, measures have been

taken for supply of domestic water to the public in the town without any interruption.

Model Code of Conduct has been implemented in the district w.e.f 06-02-2017 for conduct

of biennial election to Andhra Pradesh Legislative Council from Kadapa-Ananthapur-

Kurnool Graduates and Teachers Constituencies to be held on 09-03-2017. Due to that new

proposals for various developmental activities are temporarily stopped.

Now a days, the life style of human being is very mechanical and stress. To bring out

them from their routine work, activities and to create well and pleasant atmosphere and to

develop human relationships, the Government of Andhra Pradesh has initiated a new

concept of conduct of Happy Sunday programme all over the state to make all citizens

happy and happy state. As a part, the Happy Sunday programme was conducted grand and

successful manner in my presence in college ground area of Tadipatri Municipality. The

Students, Teachers, employees and others, senior citizens have participated enthusiastically

in the said event. So many programmes like dance, games, sports, tuning games, musical

chairs etc., are conducted to make everybody happy.

HAPPY SUNDAY :

In tune with the government's

vision to make Andhra

Pradesh a happy state, we have also

come forward to do our bit in organizing

the HAPPY SUNDAY programme on 19th

February’2017 in Tadipatri Town.

The concept of conduct and initiation of happy Sunday programme is to

create well and entertain atmosphere to all categories of the citizens in the town and

bring out them from their routine life style and regular activities and relief from their

work stress,. It is also one of the opportunities to everybody to remember sweet

memories of their childhood days.

All citizens, school students,

children and employees are participated

in the programme and enjoyed a lot. The

children are entertained with their dance

and others, The young men and adults

were also actively participated in so

many activities like games and sports

like slow-cycling, foot ball, cricket and

others. The girls and women have also

participated in the games like musical chairs, Tennikoit and other village games

tuning game etc., The Municipality has prepared plan of action to continue &

conduct the Happy Sunday Programme once in a Month.



AMRUT - WATER SUPPLY FIELD INSPECTION :

A Team of Tata Consultants has

visited the site area and leveling owk and

Gandikota Reservoir areas for proposed work

water supply from Owk to Tadipatri already

sanctioned under AMRUT scheme Project

cost of Rs 168.00 crores. The Superintending

Engineer, Public Health, Anantapuramu, the

Deputy Executive Engineer and other

officials from Tadipatri Municipality have

attended to the said inspection.



LIQUID WASTE MANAGEMENT- GIZ, NEW DELHI TEAM VISIT:

In Progress of the discussions

Gerdau Plant and Tata

Consultancy in the month of

November 2016, on feasibility of

treating of waste water in STP-

II , Tadipatri and selling of the

treated sewerage water to the

steel plant for their industrial

need, the GIZ team New Delhi has visited Tadipatri Municipality on 12th and 13th

of February 2017.

The Team has visited Ultra

tech cements, Gerdau Steel plants

and participated in the meetings

with the above said organisations

about process and selling of

Treated liquid waste water from

STP-II of Tadipatri Municipality on

the first day of their schedule.

On the next day the GIZ Team has inspected the activities of the solid

waste Management i.e., implementation of Door to Door Garbage Collection in

various wards, market areas and interacted with the public. Also inspected the

compost yard and made observations about processing of segregation machine,

windrow, Box Composting and Vermi Composting scenario.



AWARENESS RALLEY ON ERADICATION OF SARAT & ADULTERATED LIQUOR:

A Ralley was conducted in association

with the Central Excise Department,

Police Department on 18th February 2017

to create awareness on eradication of

sarat & adulterated liquor in the Town.

Sri Sabbi Siva Rama Krishna, Municipal

Commissioner, Tadipatri has been

attended as a Chief Guest to the eve and started the ralley by sweep the Flag. Before

starting of the programme the Municipal

Commissioner has given speech about

influence on health by drinking of fatal

Sarat & adulterated liquor briefly.

The ralley was proceeded through main

road and pledge was given at Ashokpiller

centre.



ULTRATECH CEMENTS SCHOOL CHILDREN EDUCATION TOUR:

The School Children from Ultra-Tech

Cements, Bugga has visited Tadipatri

Municipality to learn and know about

the implementation and Best practices

of Solid Waste Management activities in

the Town under a part of Educational

Tour. The Municipal Commissioner has

interacted with each student and

briefly explained the subject through Power Point Presentation and clarified the

doubts raised by the students and also explained the role of the Prospective Indian

citizens in making clean India. Further he also explained about the what measures

has taken by this Municipality to plant more number of trees and steps for survival

as well as environmental protection. The students and teachers has felt very happy

and expressed their satisfaction/good feel factor for the opportunity given by the

Municipality.



SARASWATHI POOJA :

To give Thews and self confidence to the students who are going to appear

public exams, it is customary/tradition to conduct SARASWATHI POOJA in High

Schools before appearing of tenth class Public Exams in every year., to continue that

Saraswathi Pooja programme has conducted in Sree Sudha Sreeramulu Memorial

Rotary Municipal High School in the Town. Sri Sabbi Siva Rama Krishna, Municipal

Commissioner, Tadipatri has given valuable suggestions to the students about

preparation, writing skills, time management during the examination and expressed

wishes/blessings to the students.

Further parents meeting was also conducted in all four high Schools to

interact with them. The performance of the students, progress has briefly informed

by the concerned head Master of the said school. The Municipal Commissioner has

asked the parents to share their opinion, deficit pots etc., if any and also suggestions

for better services like infrastructure facilities etc., from Management. All parents

expressed satisfactory.

The Municipal Commissioner has inspected the school and examined the

attendance particulars of Teachers,students and given instructions to take special

attention on dropout students. A science fair was conducted in JCNRM High school

by the Students. Sri Sabbi Siva Rama Krishna, Municipal Commissioner has visited

the science fair and appreciated the students and offered gifts. He also instructed to

the H.Ms, to provide plat form with all arrangements from Management side to bring

out the hidden talent, creativity and encourages them.



MEDIA COVERAGES:

In the past few years, the Tadipatri Municipality has got so many National

awards and rewards in SWM and ODF activities and stood first in A.P State and also

it’s a role Model to other ULBs in various activities like Dust Bin free city, 100% ban

of usage of plastic carry bags, First Open Defecation Free Town, UGD facility and

initiation of Liquid Waste Management etc., Due to coverage of Under Ground

Drainage system in the town there are no existing of open drains, in generally, the

boom of mosquito menace is reduced. In other way the Tadipatri Town is a Dust Bin

Free city and no littering on the roads, and measures are taken on open spaces also.

Fogging and Spraying, Releasing of Gambussia fishes and oil balls in the stagnated

water areas is being done properly. These types of initiatives are being taken in

Tadipatri Municipality and resulting eradication of boom of mosquitoes.

The popular Telugu media channel Etv has visited the town and covered the

special focus story about prevention of mosquito menace in Tadipatri Municipality

with interviews of the people and Hon’ble MLA, and Municipal Commissioner. The

same was telecasted on etv news.

Happy SundayInitiative in Tadipatri

Happy Sunday in Tadipatri: Happy Sunday is an initiative led by the groups to get the residents out on the streets on the Sunday morning and interact with each other rather than just going to the cafesor busy with mobiles, etc.. For this special day, the streets are cordoned off and no vehicular movement is allowed and people are allowed to do whatever they enjoy doing. On selected weekends Happy Sunday takes place in different locations across the town.

The idea is also to get the kids get excited about and to get them involved in numerous outdoor activities. And not to mention the senior citizens for whom this is an excellent opportunity to be out with the family, meet like-minded people and also participate in many health activities like group Yoga, Singing, Dancing, Cricket, Musical Chair, Kabaddi,, Lemon in the Spoon, Valley Ball etc., Happy Sunday is also supported by the Municipality, Police Department ,NGO’s, Schools, College Principals and Head Masters. drive home the importance of safe walking and cycling infrastructure across neighborhoods in the Town and to encourage people to use non-motorised transport, but with booming urbanization and construction activities, the habit is dying out. I do hope this initiative will help revive it.

My Sunday being Happy on Happy Sunday:

On the Happy Sunday the participants feel a positive and happy vibe. There was so much enthusiasm on part of all the participants as well as the organisers. Just as started walking into the main part of the location a stage a visible with some very enthusiastic dancers on stage leading a group of hundreds of Tadipatri citizens to groove their bodies. There were kids, youths as well as much older people as well. The energy was almost enthusiastic.
