Alarm levels are configurable so it is easily adapted to the user’s needs. The typical levels, recommended by EN50536 Lightning Warning Standard are implemented as predetermined values in the equipment. Large single surge events, such as lightning, can reach hundreds of thousands of volts and cause immediate or intermittent equipment failure. With lightning and utility power anomalies, accounting for 20% of transient surges, while the other 80% are produced internally in a facility. Although small in size, they are higher in occurrence.
