TrueAllele® Casework Technology
Computer Interpretation of DNA Evidence
Informative • Fast • Accurate
Know the Answer®
Preserving all the information from complex DNA evidence
What Can TrueAllele Technology Do for Your DNA Evidence?
Crime scene DNA evidence increasingly produces challenging data that labs cannot interpret effectively. Current manual interpretation guidelines can lead to information loss. Higher thresholds mean useful data is excluded, inconclusive, or has low match statistics.

Getting More From DNA Evidence
The SWGDAM Guideline 3.2.2 permits the use of validated probabilistic genotyping
approaches. TrueAllele preserves the information that would otherwise be lost. TrueAllele frees up analysts’ time for additional lab activities, and enables increased evidence
through-put.
Admitted into Court
Cybergenetics has prepared over a hundred TrueAllele DNA case reports. TrueAllele results are easy to explain using visual tools that make complex DNA evidence accessible
to the jury.
Scientifically Validated
Multiple scientific validations demonstrate that TrueAllele computer interpretation uses all the DNA information. TrueAllele results provide stronger match statistics for contributors’
DNA identification information.

TrueAllele Casework helps labs to interpret DNA evidence that would go unused. Cybergenetics has provided testimony in state, federal, military and foreign courts.
TrueAllele technology has precedence from the Pennsylvania Supreme Court.

Real Answers for Complex Cases TrueAllele Casework technology has a range of applications. Cybergenetics has assisted laboratories integrate the technology and provide individual case service. Cybergenetics has also assisted police with investigative evidence and prosecutors with court preparations and expert witness.
Cold Cases. Using TrueAllele, identification information can be extracted from degraded DNA, including samples that are old, burned, or contaminated.
Violent Crime. TrueAllele separates major and minor contributors in complex evidence samples, including damaged DNA.
Touch DNA. Weapons used in homicides or gang related violence may yield touch DNA. Such evidence can provide identification information through TrueAllele analysis. Samples with more than two contributors often produce viable profiles and match statistics.
Property Crime. TrueAllele infers evidence genotypes directly from the evidence data, without reference to any suspect. By combining sample information, tiny amounts of DNA evidence found in property crimes can produce viable genetic profiles, even in non-suspect cases.
Serial Crime. Crimes committed by the same perpetrator can be linked to one another through DNA evidence using the TrueAllele Database technology.
TrueAllele Benefits
• Know the Answer. The computer uses all the DNA data to preserve identification information for accurate match statistics.
• Information. TrueAllele DNA match information is typically a million times stronger, and
more accurate than human interpretation. • Productivity. Interprets complex DNA evidence quickly with fewer case samples. • Multiple Profiles. Reveals the different people who may have contributed to the DNA
evidence - 2, 3, 4 or more contributors. • Inconclusive DNA. Computer interpretation provides a useful answer on weak data. • Objectivity. TrueAllele technology infers the DNA identification information objectively,
without information from the suspect. • Scientifically Validated. TrueAllele Casework is the most scientifically validated
computer-based DNA interpretation system.

Frequently Asked Questions
1. Can TrueAllele infer genotypes from non-suspect evidence?
TrueAllele Casework infers genotypes from mixture evidence. These genotypes can be used to search and match on a TrueAllele Database preserving all their identification information, or be turned into lists of alleles for upload to other databases. 2. How does TrueAllele handle serial crime scenes?
TrueAllele Casework can search and match inferred genotypes within or across crime scene evidence. By putting all the evidence items from multiple crimes into a mini-database, along with reference samples, TrueAllele Casework provides a table that shows which reference profiles match which evidence items. 3. What evidence can be uploaded and searched on a TrueAllele Database?
A lab can upload ALL the evidence genotypes (even mixtures) that are inferred in TrueAllele Casework, and any reference profiles, to the TrueAllele Database for matching. For non-suspect evidence items, TrueAllele would infer genotypes from the non-suspect data (including mixtures) and those genotypes would then be searched and matched in the database.
