Page 2: Trips 2014/15

Dear Parents, Guardians and Students,

We see trips and visits as a crucial part of the Catmose experience, offering opportunities to develop independence and wider skills that go alongside experiencing a different culture and experiences that are not possible within the confines of a classroom.

We are aware however that the costs of such trips, which are beyond what we deliver as our compulsory curriculum, need to be managed and planned for. In order to help parents, we have created this brochure which gives a detailed overview of all the trips and visits on offer for our students in 2014 – 15.

This offer follows an outstanding year of trip opportunities, including the seeing Charlie and the Chocolate Factory in the West End and residentials in Spain, France and Berlin. This year we see trips to Kingswood for Year 8 and the Holocaust Memorial Museum for Year 9 remain on offer, with new outings including The Royal Observatory and The Big Bang Fair.

For each trip, the numbers of places, year groups, approximate dates and cost have been included to allow families to plan for the year in advance.

More detailed information will be sent out by the individual trip leaders as we move through the year. Trips requiring deposits are marked with an asterix.
