April Fools’ Day is one of the most light-hearted days of the year, however being fooled is not always fun. In fact, it can be a risk in business which is why we thought it would be important to feature a US Manufacturer near and dear to us at Trimble + Associates, Dixie Diamond Manufacturing (DDM).
DDM has always been known for quality and consistency, but what many people didn’t know is how DDM poten-tially protects you and your company from risk. Each and every high performance diamond cutting tool that ships from DDM’s facility in Lilburn, GA, is stamped with a unique serial number that identifies the individual blade and is traceable back to their factory. Compare this to most imported product that may have no identifiable markings at all once the paint or label is worn off.
Since the serial number is there to help track products, and it can serve as a form of protection for your compa-ny. Products in the market that do not use serial num-bers are untraceable, therefore, in the event of an inci-dent, the last known seller (probably you) maybe liable.
A lawsuit is expensive and time consuming, and what’s worse, you may be held personally responsible, poten-tially draining you and your businesses finances.
So, why put yourself at risk?
DDM consistently makes the right choices, and it believes in the quality of their products, so every product gets their “stamp of approval” in the form of a serial number.
If you’re currently buying DDM product, you know the quality and consistency DDM offers, and now you just might know even more about what DDM offers. If you’re not currently buying DDM product, we suggest you con-sider the risk. Before you place an order with any other company, be sure to find out if they offer you the same quality and protection as DDM.
In addition, remember the price, quality and value relationship. If you’re shopping for the absolute lowest price, you may sacrifice quality and value . . . oh, and serial numbers.
