Immaculate Conception Church Window Replacement Project: The Building/Properties Committee are providing a pledge form for anyone

interested in donating to the cost of window replacements. We already have several parties who wish to donate. We have several other church

repairs which will require expenditure over the next two years and it is hope that donations to the window replacement will allow for some

financial room to also carry out additional projects. So even if all windows are eventually donated too -- there will be ample opportunity to

donate--if you so wish. Additional pledge forms will also be available at the Tri-Parish Office-Heatherton Community Centre. If you would like

to donate the amount for purchase of a window or have questions, contact Ed MacDonald, 902-386-2756 or email him at

A Relic of Padre Pio will be visiting the diocese on Thursday, 30 May. Veneration of the relic and associated events will take place at St.

Theresa Church in Sydney. Padre Pio, also known as Saint Pio of Pietrelcina, O.F.M. Cap. (May 25, 1887 – September 23, 1968), was a friar,

priest, stigmatist, and mystic, and is venerated as a saint. Born Francesco Forgione, he was given the name of Pius (Pio) when he joined the

Order of Friars Minor Capuchin. Padre Pio became famous for the way he celebrated Mass, for his commitment to the Sacrament of Penance and

for exhibiting stigmata, thereby sharing in the Passion of Christ. Pope John Paul II beatified him in 1999 and canonized him in 2002. His visit

will be a wonderful source of grace for the diocese.
