Long Haul Bus OperatorsScheduled long haul bus services operate throughout South Africa. However, for the duration of the event the National Department of Transport has put in place scheduled bus services between Host Cities catering specifically for the ticket-holding fan.

Travelling to the Cape Winelands By airCape Town International Airport (CTIA) is located in close proximity to the Cape Winelands and offers scheduled flights to and from various host cities within South Africa.

A bus service links the Cape Town International Airport to Cape Town’s Civic Centre Bus Station. Fares are R50/one way. The timetables adjust to the operating hours of the airport with a 24 hour service for the event period. At minimum, service is provided every 30 minutes. Journey time is approximately 20 minutes.

From Cape Town, access to the Cape Winelands is available by rail.

By trainCape Metrorail 2010 Event rail services will operate from 4 June to 16 July. Rail services are available to Stellenbosch and Paarl, along with other destinations in the Cape Winelands. The Cape Town passenger rail station is a 5 minute walk from the Civic Centre bus station in Cape Town.

Metrorail services between Cape Town and Paarl and Huguenot stations in Paarl operate from 04:30 to 02:00 on Mondays to Fridays and 04:30 to 01:00 on Saturdays on the WellingtonRailLine.Traveltimeisapproximately80minutestoCapeTown.

Park & RidesA Park & Ride is available at Stellenbosch Rail Station. Parking is also available at Huguenot Station in Paarl. See Travelling by Train for rail schedules and information.

The City of Cape Town is providing Park & Ride locations within the metro area. The locations that are accessible from the Cape Winelands and the N1 are Oosterzee (Exit 20, Mike Pienaar Blvd and turn right into Voortrekker Rd) and Century City (Exit 10, Sable Road). The last train departs Cape Town Station back to Oosterzee at 01:00 on weekdays and at 22:30 on Saturdays and at 00:30 on Sundays. The last train departs Cape Town Station back to Century City at 01:00 on weekdays and at 22:30 on Saturdays and at 00:30 on Sundays. These Park & Rides link to the Rail Service into Cape Town.
