JoHanna’s Loyal to Royal

Roseborough Travel Agency 386-734-7245 roseboroughtravel.com Roseborough Travel Agency 386-734-7245 roseboroughtravel.com

I am so excited to share with you my upcoming travel adventures - sailing with Royal Caribbean this December. Myself along with 53 others will be sailing aboard Royal Caribbean Independence of the Seas. The Independence is a great ship full of amenities, I personally cannot wait to enjoy. The 4 pools including the Solarium, an adults-only retreat, 6 whirlpools, (two of them cantilevered whirlpools overlooking the ocean), and the ship’s newest update – poolside outdoor movie screen – are literally calling my name and is exactly where you will find me enjoying time with my hubby and family. Making this next cruise even more enjoyable, will be the number of mother daughter duos who will be traveling together – 7 sets, and yes my mom will be onboard! After all, cruising is such a wonderful way to share quality time with family and friends. How else can you travel with 54 friend and family members and make everyone happy? This is one more reason why I am Loyal to Royal! It is a great way to have multi-generational fun!

Speaking of multi-generational fun...I will actually be celebrating my 55th birthday on this next cruise. Therefore, I have challenged some of my friends (and myself) to zip-line when we port at Labadee, Haiti. For those traveling with me next year on the Oasis of the Seas - you don’t even need to get off the ship, Oasis has zip-lining onboard- weeeeee).

Rounding off this cruise will be a stop at Falmouth, Jamaica for a time to enjoy the beauty of this Caribbean Island. I gotta run now, The Royal experience awaits me and you!

CCathy’s ornerI am so excited about this great trip with Collette Tours visiting Mackinac Island. It not only includes the famous and historic Island, but The Grand Hotel and the Tulip Festival are highlights of our departure May 7 - 14, 2016.

Some of you may already know this about me, but those who don’t - my father was born and raised Michigan. My grand mother, his mother, (when she was alive) taught 6th grade. During this time, she was in charge of the “safety patrol” - each year the “safety patrollers” would raise money for their class trip to Mackinac Island. Well, when I finally got into 6th grade my father was stationed in Puerto Rico for his Coast Guard Service and my family moved. Of course, the trip I had looked forward to my whole childhood. I was unable to go on with my grandmother when I was in 6th grade. Fast forward, 3 years later, my family moves back to the states and I think I will finally get my chance to visit the historic Mackinac Island...and guess what? My grandmother decided to RETIRE from teaching... Needless to say, I never got the opportunity to travel to Mackinac Island with the Safety Patrol and this group trip is one I am looking forward to, and have been for well, lets just say a few years...

Whether Mackinac Island has been a lifelong dream of yours, or has just come on your radar, this is a beautiful trip at an incredible time of the year. We hand picked the perfect date to include the world renowned tulip festival just for you! Chicago in the spring is amazing - whether you’re there to see Wrigley Field (go Cubs), or getting a slice of pizza “Chicago style” or shopping on Michigan Avenue, or taking a walk along the lake front - we’ll enjoy the “Windy City” and all it has to offer. Now let me tell you about Mackinac Island - we’ll be staying at the Grand Hotel - this beautiful Victorian-era resort is truly a step back in time - there are no cars allowed on the island - it’s horse and buggy. Both the hotel and the island itself are National Historic Landmarks. You will have more than enough opportunity to enjoy the view from the largest porch on the Island, or take a stroll thru the quaint village where you will find peace and relaxation. A note for the traveler: I do want to let you know that there is a dress code for evenings at the Grand (coat and tie required for gentleman and ladies dress, skirt or pantsuits) but you will so enjoy the food, music and the atmosphere of this beautiful island.

If you haven’t seen the movie “Somewhere in Time” I highly recommend it - it was actually filmed there. After visiting Mackinac, we’ll head south towards Grand Rapids and Holland - where we’ll be able to experience the Annual Tulip Festival - we’ll stop off at two amazing gardens (Veldheer Tulip Gardens and Windmill Island Gardens) both are stunning. We’ll also see the only authentic Dutch windmill operating in the United States. We’ll continue to Allen Park - Dearborn - we’ll visit Greenfield Village it’s like stepping into an 80 acre time machine. It takes you back to the sights, sounds and sensations of America’s past. We’ll see historic homes and see the workshops where famous American icons like the Wright Brothers, Thomas Edison, Robert Frost and Henry Ford were once inspired. I think this trip has something for one and all and all. And I hope you will join me!

Maui, HIWhy go: With idyllic beaches and verdant mountains, Maui is escapism at its finest. Here, you can spend your days admiring the scenery as you cruise along the Road to Hana or lounge across the sands of Kaihalulu. Sampling the island’s seafood is also a must. **Check out our Roseborough Exclusive Hawaiian Getaway June 30-July 11, 2016 on NCL Pride of America**

Yellowstone National Park, WY Why go: With steaming geysers, multicolored pools, bubbling hot springs and hiking trails that stretch for miles, there’s plenty to excite nature lovers in this national park. Grand Canyon, AZWhy go: To experience some of the most inspiring views America has to offer, plan a trip to the Grand Canyon. Whether you choose to hike the Bright Angel Trails or raft the Colorado River, you’re sure to encounter plenty of picturesque vistas.

San Francisco, CAWhy go: San Francisco’s culture has been affected by diverse ethnic groups and many social movements. The best way to perceive the City by the Bay’s character is to explore each individual neighborhood. From the Mission to the Castro, visitors appreciate each enclave’s offerings.

Denali National Park, AKWhy go: Denali National Park is a gorgeous spread of over 6 million acres of wild land that is much more than a mountain alone. Travelers along it see the relatively low-elevation taiga forest give way to high alpine tundra and snowy mountains, culminating in North America’s tallest peak, 20,310’ Denali. Did you know Roseborough has multiple Alaska Experts on their team?

Yosemite,CA Why go: In Yosemite, you can check out famous landmarks like Half Dome or get some exercise hiking the John Muir Trail. Come in spring, summer or fall to avoid winter’s wet weather conditions. And if you’re not one for camping, you can make this park a day trip from San Francisco, Sacramento or Lake Tahoe. **Hear more about visiting Yosemite National Park March 10, 2016- call 386-734-7245 fordetails**

Washington, DCWhy go: The nation’s capital has a lot going for it. Iconic landmarks like the Lincoln Memorial and the Washington Monument allow you to sightsee for days. Just make sure to save some energy for an evening out — D.C. boasts a lively restaurant and bar scene.

New York, NYWhy go: Museum-strolling, theater-going, bar-hopping — the sheer number of things to do in the Big Apple puts most of its U.S. peers to shame. When you need a respite from the city’s busy street life and soaring skyscrapers, retreat to scenic Central Park.

Honolulu, Oahu, HI Why go: Oahu features a nice balance of urban and beach environments. And with pleasant weather year-round, there really is no bad time to visit. Waikiki Beach promises to please. **Our Roseborough Exclusive Hawaiian Getaway June 30 - July 11, 2016 has 2 pre-nights in Honolulu**

And at the foot of Chi-town’s iconic skyline lay a host of world-class museums, standout restaurants and eclectic neighborhoods.**Take the Makinac Island Tour through Collette and get time to visit the Windy City***

Anchorage, AKWhy go: The Anchorage Museum and Alaska Native Heritage Center provide a perfect introduction to “The Last Frontier.” And you can break in your hiking boots along the Tony Knowles Coastal Trail and in Kincaid Park. Just save some time for exploring the city’s shops and eateries.

Hawaii is on my live it list! Why you ask?? Well....anyone that knows me, knows I LOVE the beach! So much so, that I opted for a beautiful sunset with the Na Poli Coast in the background to be over my desk when we remodeled the office last year. I have day dreams of sitting on the beach as the sun sets with a fruity umbrella drink in my hand! I get to (mentally) escape there every day! What a great place to relax and unwind!

Hawaii has some of the most breathtakingly beautiful beaches in the world! If the beach isn’t your thing, each of the islands offers its own magical wonder... Mother nature at her finest!

I want to see everything from the foot hills to the waterfalls, I want to snorkel in the clear blue waters, see the natural beauty while hiking in the mountains, see the wildlife and visit the only spot on earth where you can see the planet growing every day, as lava from Kilauea Caldera flows into the ocean at Hawaii Volcanoes National Park. A visit to Pearl Harbor is a must! There is so much history and culture in Hawaii! Join us on our Hawaiian adventure next summer! When planning a river cruise, there are many options. Our group decided to go on Ama Waterways Europe’s Rivers and Castles Itinerary. We had an amazing time and got to see some of the most amazing views. Did you know, on Ama Waterways you stop in multiple port cities per day on many itineraries and in each of these stops your tours are included? Well they are! You get the opportunity to experience multiple “excursions” like a City tour of Cochem AND a Wine tasting of the region, a tour of Heidelberg Castle and the Zell Wine Festival, a pretzel making class and Wurzburg Residenz Palace tour. One of my favorite destinations of this trip was Prague, it was completely beautiful, the food was delicious, sights were incredible, architecture was superb, and a destination I would go back and visit again and again.

Amanda’s Amazing AdventuresRiver Cruising with RoseboroughEvery time the Explorers Club Newsletter comes around I go through an array of emotions (shock & surprise “How in the world did the time pass by so quickly?”, Fear & Dread “How will I ever get this put together on time?”, Excitement and Fun “Wow, we have a lot of awesome trips to start talking about” or “Oh my goodness gracious, I am leaving for another adventure again?!?”, and finally a sense of relief and intense happiness “my heart goes pitter patter knowing we can help the travel dreams of so many people come true”). Anyone who truly knows me well knows this is my roller coaster of emotions and it is true and honest. Maybe I shouldn’t share it with the over 11,000 Explorers who receive our newsletter, but I think I should. I want you to know we truly care. We spend a lot of time,

energy, and effort trying to bring you some of our favorite vacations, trips, destinations, or experiences through each of our articles and ads within this newsletter.

This year I have been blessed to partake in so many adventures including a trip to China, Roseborough Exclusive Bus trip to Savannah, GA; an AMA Waterways European Rivers & Castles River Cruise; and a Historic North Georgia Fall Bus Trip.

My most recent adventure was a Trafalgar tour, a 10-day Eco-Adventure of Costa Rica with a 3 day stay at Guanacaste Beach. The trip to Costa Rica was incredible! We saw amazing wildlife, had wonderful weather, got unforgettable experiences, walked across the swinging bridges, went white water rafting, and so much more. But I have to say, Trafalgar really made a great trip, extraordinary! They always have features like local hosts, special “insider experiences” that reveal the spirit of the destination, and “Hidden Treasures” or special find that you wouldn’t get otherwise.

Its because of experiences like my Costa Rica trip and many other Trafalgar tours in the past that we decided to promote a trip to Italy in September with no one else than Trafalagar. This tour is “Best of Italy” and it really will be the Best of Italy! One thing I am looking forward to: skipping the line and insider experiences at the Vatican! Have you ever been to Rome or heard about how LOOOOONG the line is to get into the Vatican? Well not with Trafalgar! We skip the line and get special access to areas other travelers cannot go.

Okay, okay, I will share one more thing I am excited about- You all know I have a daughter, Aurora, right? (I write about her almost every time). Well a few months ago I shared that we named Aurora after the Aurora Borealis in Alaska, but do you know her middle name? Capri... you guessed it! Aurora Capri- Capri, after the Isle of Love in Italy and YES- we will be going to this fantastically beautiful island off of Pompeii & Sorrento. I Cannot Wait....

I cannot wait to explore this world with you! I hope you will join me on this Italian Adventure.
