Our transportation department provides full service design of highways, local roads, private streets, and intersection improvements. Design features include new roadway design, roundabouts, widening and resurfacing, roadway drainage, lighting, traffic signal design, and roadway signing. USI’s staff uses their strategic expertise to evaluate intersection capacity and access control features to ensure each project’s design advances traffic safely and efficiently. Our experienced transportation design team provides feasible designs in all facets of transportation, from intersection improvements and roundabouts to complex roadway design.

USI offers a broad oversight and directional management in large infrastructure highway projects, including: Interstate design, Rural and urban roadway design, Local municipal street design, Interstate signage, Sign inventory and retroreflectivity testing, Interchange and street lighting, Traffic signals, Hydrology, Hydraulics, and Sewer design.
