Easy To Install Lower Cost Fibre Solution Distance Insensitive Lighter weight Cross site Cable Ideal for Marine Antenna systems Standard Optical Connections Used.
Part No: F800539-PRO Satellite VSAT FibreLINK System
Description The Global Invacom VSAT FibreLINK provides a cost effective inter-facility link solution for integration with VSAT systems both on land and in the maritime environment. It offers the benefit of very low transmission loss over large distances, avoiding the frequency attenuation of co-axial cable systems, as well as being simple to install, employing much lighter, smaller and lower cost fibre runs that have inherent radio interference protection. The link accommodates the following signals:
Transmit L-Band Signal. Receive L-Band Signal. 10MHz Reference For BUC. Optional 400MHz Control.
The system is supplied as two stand alone modules or alternatively can be provided in both suitable IP 65 Rated outdoor enclosure and 19” rack mount indoor unit. The L Band transmit carrier and 10MHz reference used by the transmit Block Upconverter are present-ed to the indoor unit on the same ‘F’ type connector and subsequently converted to optical light before reconstitution at the outdoor unit for presentation to the BUC. The receive L band signals from the satellite LNB are presented to the outdoor unit for conversion to optical light before being returned to
L band at the indoor unit. An optional 400MHz control frequency can also be carried if required. All optical signals are carried between the indoor and out door unit on the same optical single mode cable. Low cost optical rotary joints can also be employed to further save on cost of expensive RF rotating joints. There is also time and cost savings in the installation of a single fibre optic cable rather than the heavy co-axial cables. If required Global Professional are also able to supply optical cables in pre made lengths suitable for use with the VSAT fibre system and also the Fibre TVRO systems, again for use in the marine environment.
