The interior brace needs to be set back from outer edge to allow access for

strongbacks

Window bucks should be assembled ahead of time for increased speed and efficiency at the job site

STEP 1: Screw two 2 x 6's to the sides and one to the top

Position the 2 x 6's in the middle of the window buck

2 x 6's Leave a 8" gap on the bottom to gain access to the wall later

STEP 2:

Screw a piece of 1/2" OSB over the 2 x 6's

This is an example of how to brace an opening for a standard size window.Wider windows and lintez heights play a factor in how much bracing is needed.

Common concrete knowledge is needed.For more information on bracing larger openings contact: Jerry Spude @ 920-309-1856

Cut poly splice pieces to desiredwidth to achieve accurate length

for window buck installation

Example:30" Header

If the height of the window header does not fit with oneof TF's available pan sizes, then use the next size

larger to ensure the wall is completely braced

The pans and strongbacks will extend above thetop of the wall when correctly positioned

Use the aluminum strongback to lock the plastic pan into place

Swing plastic pan into position by inserting the right side first and then locking the left side

down by installing the strongback

Pans and strongbackscan stick up into window

area if need be

Slide the plywood into either the channel normally used for plastic pans (right side) or benind the aluminum strongback (left side)

Drill screws from the inside of the windowbuck to secure the wood braces into place

Slide OSB into the channel normally used for plastic pans

These parts can be left in placepermanently for additional nailingsurfaces along side of window for

nailing trim work if needed

After the concrete has been poured and cured, the pans,stongbacks, and any additional bracing may be removed

Remove 2X4'sand plywood

Once the pans, strongbacks, and additional bracinghave been cleared, remove the interior brace

board of the window buck

Reinstall the brace board so that it's edge isflush with the outside of the window buck

Toe screw the brace board into a new

position

Build up to the door opening, install spliced panels as needed and

then install door buck

Once the door buck is in place, install two more spliced panels

and continue building wall

Position preassembleddoor buck into place
