Prayer of a Child preparing for First Penance and Holy Communion
As I prepare to celebrate Jesus’s forgiveness and love, May I learn all
about Jesus present in Holy Communion, May I welcome him into my
heart and my life, May Jesus help me to be more like him, May I come
to know the peace of Jesus, the light of his love and the joy of his life
always and forever. Amen
Prayer of a Child preparing for Confirmation
Lord, as I prepare to be confirmed in the Spirit, May the Spirit breathe
through me today and always, giving me light and love and helping me
to recognise and strengthen the fruits and gifts of the Holy Spirit
within myself. Lord, help me to create space in my heart and life for
the Spirit to guide me, May I do all that I can to be open to the grace
of this special day And may the Holy Spirit move me each day to live
generously and lovingly, Displaying the fruits and gifts of the Spirit in
all I say and all I do. Amen

PRAYER FOR GRANDPARENTS
Lord Jesus, help families and society to value the presence and roles of grandparents. May they never be ignored or excluded, but always encounter respect and love. Help them to live serenely and to feel welcomed in all the years of life which you give them. Mary, Mother of all the living, keep grandparents constantly in your care, accompany them on their earthly pilgrimage, and by your prayers, grant that all families may one day be reunited in our heavenly homeland, where you await all humanity for the great embrace of life without end. Amen!
The Season of Creation has a special significance for the
Catholic Church, particularly since Pope Francis
established 1 September as an annual World Day of Prayer
for the Care of Creation.
The Season of Creation or Creation Time, is marked
throughout the Christian world from 1 September to 4
October (Feast of St. Francis of Assisi) and celebrates the
joy of creation as well as encouraging awareness-raising
initiatives to protect the natural environment.
