FEEDBACK FROM TRAINEES
The participants found the workshop on “Entrepreneur Development and Skill Training for Ripening Chambers”
very informative and felt that more workshops like this should be organized by NCCD. The information given by
experts and faculty was a great learning experience, giving them an overview of the fruit ripening sector too.
They were very much interested in opening a ripening chamber in their own villages as most of them have their
own land and belongs to a farmer family.
They were pleased to visit Golden Garden Food, Dera Bassi where they got the chance to learn the ripening
process and to experience the Preloading, Sorting, grading, and operation and control of ripening chambers. The
trainees found the program is a practical hand on experience and helpful in understanding the operations of a
ripening chamber and developing their entrepreneurial skills.
