TETRAsim is the leading provider of computer based training systems for TETRA. The company is headquartered in Helsinki, Finland, and over the years we have delivered more than 70 training systems all over the world. Currently TETRAsim employs 14 TETRA professionals.

This booklet lists the different training products and services offered by TETRAsim. The services covered range everywhere from elementary to advanced user train-ing, including special courses for TETRA trainers. Moreover, TETRAsim also pro-vides a number of courses for planning and implementing efficient and effective TETRA training.

TETRAsim training can be organized in two different ways – either in a classroom or in an online setting. Whereas online training effectively teaches the TETRA basics, classroom training is often used to ensure optimal learning results.

TETRAsim training system comprises the whole functionality of real TETRA. All voice and data communication, implemented with user-specific parameters and applications, are included.

TETRAsim Value Proposition

Time-efficiencyTETRAsim virtual network provides one with automatically managed and controlled trainings. This will simply leave the trainer with more time to instruct. Once it’s time for theoretical education, the easiest way to control the whole class room is just to lock the simulators.

ControllabilityTETRAsim Educational Platform makes it easy to divide the training into stages. While quick and valid feedback is easy to give, the amount of disruption in the class room is mini-mized.

MeasurabilityThe TETRAsim facility provides the trainer with tools to objectively measure the trainees’ skill level. The validity of training certificates and diplomas reaches whole new di-mensions!

Real scenariosGoing to the field is no longer the only option for scenario-based training. The TETRAsim facility helps to rerun past events, as well as everyday routines, and familiarize yourself with the correct measures to be taken.

Ms Elina Avela, MSc (Eng), is Chief Executive Officer at TETRAsim. Ms Avela joined TETRAsim in October 2007, adding a significant amount of knowledge, experience and expertise to the young and innovative Finnish com-pany. She has worked 18 years in various PMR manage-ment positions at Nokia and EADS and joined TETRA from the very first days of the technology in 1995.

Mr Jaakko Niskanen, MSc (Econ), currently holds the title Sales Manager at TETRAsim. Having completed his degree in Helsinki School of Economics, and previously worked within the area of banking, he joined TETRAsim in the early summer of 2008. Mr Niskanen is respon-sible for sales in Asia, Balkan area, CIS and Scandinavia.

Mr Simo Ruoko, BSc (Telecommunication), joined TETRAsim at the end of 2007 and holds the position of Director, International Sales. In the past Mr Ruoko has worked in the IT and telecommunications sector over 25 years in various managerial positions. Mr Ruoko’s primary sales areas are Middle East and Maghreb.
