Learn to Ski or Snowboard!

Failure to observe safety regulations will result in loss of skiing and riding privileges or more severe action.

USE OUR SLOPES WITH COMMON SENSE

Peek’n Peak encompasses many areas of varied ski terrain. Skiing and snowboarding are exciting and challenging participant sports that often present dangers and inherent risks, including but not limited to, other skiers, trees, uneven terrain, bare spots, icy spots, natural and man-made objects, snowmaking vehicles, snowmaking equipment and other equipment that is incidental to the operation of a ski facility. Be advised that all poles/flags, signage and covers on equipment or objects or other forms of marking devices are used by the ski area to inform you of the presence or location of a potential obstacle or hazard. These markers are no guarantee of your safety and will not protect you from injury. It is part of your responsibility under “Your Responsibility Code” to avoid all obstacles or hazards, including those that are so marked. If you cannot accept these inherent risks, we ask that you do not ski/ride at Peek’n Peak. Management reserves the right to revoke a pass.

Peek’n Peak is committed to promoting ski safety. While visiting Peek’n Peak Resort, you may be joined on the slopes by traditional alpine skiers, snowboarders, telemark or cross-country skiers, skiers with disabilities, and snowshoe-ers. Always show courtesy to others and be aware that there are elements of risk involved with skiing and snowboarding that common sense and situational awareness can help reduce. Know your ability level and stay within it. Observe “Your Responsibility Code”- listed below - and share the responsibility with others.

• Always stay in control, and be able to stop or aviod other people or objects.

• People ahead of you have the right of way. It is your responsibility to aviod them.

• You must not stop where you obstruct a trail, or are not visible from above.

• Whenever starting downhill or merging onto a trail, look uphill and yeild to others.

• Prior to using any lift, you must have the knowledge and ability to load, ride and unload safely.

• Always use devices to help prevent runaway equipment.
