The event GOAL is to bring more than 850 of our community’s top business leaders together to honor a wonderful corporate citizen and raise $1,500,000 to support local Scouting programs that develop character, citizenship, leadership, patriotism, self-reliance and personal fitness. Event funds help remove financial barriers for youth to participate in Scouting and allow for outreach programs growth to serve at-risk youth in our most underserved communities.

This award recognizes outstanding contributions to the quality of life in North Carolina and is presented annually to a community leader who exemplifies the values found in the Boy Scout Oath and Law. This is Scouting’s highest local award and will be presented at the 2019 Friends of Scouting Breakfast. Past honorees include Lonnie C.
