Environmental NoiseWellington City Council Environmental Noise Compliance Team process for gaining

approval to work at night (6:00pm-07:30am), public holidays and Sunday’s.

• Client or Principal to contact Environmental Noise via [email protected] request the required permission.

– Information that they will require:• Date - when your work occur• Time - the hours of work• Location - where the work will occur, street address, building name• Brief detailed description of what you are doing at the location

• Environmental Noise will issue you in writing their approval and any conditions to the applicant• A copy of your environmental noise approval is to be supplied with your TMP to the Road Protection Team.•An approved TMP is not a permit to make noise it is solely for traffic management.•A WAP is not a permit to make noise or ignore the requirements of Noise Control Officers.

Amendments to COPTTM WCC TMC will consider

Minimising Signage– When working solely on the footpath, TW-1A and TW-1A with

TW-16 signs not required on the carriageway– No tapers required for parking removal– Inspection activities, the use of electronic sign boards can be

used instead of signs and cones – Elimination of lateral safety zone on TMD2 and F2.1 and F2.3

when the TTM does not impact a live lane– Restricted parking is not considered a shoulder
