The Toyota Yaris Ativ is a model catered specifically for the Thailand market. It is the twin sedan to the model sold as Toyota Vios in other ASEAN countries. Unlike Vios, the model comes with a smaller engine of 1.2L in order to comply with Thailand’s eco car policy. Toyota has made the model equipped with similar specifications as the Vios, which has standard seven airbags across all variants. In addition, the Yaris Ativ also has standard fitment of active safety features that are Seatbelt Reminder Systems for frontal occupants and Electronic Stability Control. Based on Vios’s results, the Toyota Yaris Ativ recieved the score of 81.63 points, which makes it entitled for 5-Star ASEAN NCAP rating.
