Green, clean and relaxed

Finland, Sweden, Norway and Iceland form a culturally and geographically unique region in Northern Europe. These countries are all sparsely populated and have

a lot to offer all year around for travelers: the undisturbed nature, Nordic mountains and fjords, wide green forests, coastal sea areas and hundreds of thousands of fresh water lakes.

Road tripping is perhaps the best way to explore the unique nature and breathtaking sceneries. Motorhome accommodates two to six persons. Take your family with you or the best friends to share the experience!

Finland is located in the Fennoscandian region of the Northern Europe sharing its

borderline with Sweden, Norway and Russia, and is culturally an interesting blend of eastern and western influences.

If you pick-up your Motorhome from Helsinki metropolitan region, you can conveniently explore the historic old cities of Porvoo and Turku. For nature lovers the coastal lines of the south and west offer green and clean milieus to relax in. Take bicycles with you and navigate your Motorhome to Turku archipelago region

,

that consists of 20 000 small islands connected to one another with ferries. Enjoy sauna, sun and silence. Hike, swim and get acquainted with the maritime culture.

You can also start your holiday from Rovaniemi. As a capital of Finnish Lapland, Rovaniemi works as a gate to the fascinating destinations of Northern Scandinavia. Hike, fish and try rock climbing. Or start your trip in the early fall and be mesmerized by the nature color palette! All this on your own terms freed of schedules with a Motorhome.

Capital of Sweden is famous for its Royals, Abba and Old Town (Gamla Stan). We also

know Stockholm for its hip hangouts, lively bar culture and fine dining.

When you pick-up your Motorhome from Stockholm, it is recommended to save few days for this gem of north before heading to picturesque fishing villages of Mölle and Arild, medieval cities of Sigtuna and Uppsala or the beaches of Ystad.

If you have more than one week dig yourself deeper in the Nordic culture and navigate to

SWEDEN

Lapland, the home of the indigenous Sami peoples. Landscape in the north is shaped by the rugged mountains and wilderness. Lapland offers plenty of opportunities to hike, fish and canoe. Swedish culture is labeled by adventures of characters like Pippi Longstocking, Pelle Svanslös and Kurt Wallander, the protagonist of Henning Mankell’s novels.

Swedes love midsummer, so don’t miss out this originally pagan festival that celebrates the longest day of the year with good food, company of friends and of course few schnapps. Skål!

NORWAY

Have you ever seen the

Geiranger fjord?

Norway is one of those countries you might find yourself knowing surprisingly

little about. In a nutshell it is a country of four seasons, breathtaking fjord sceneries and intriguing Viking past.

The Geiranger Fjord offers snow-capped mountains, tortuous roads and beautiful small villages down by the fjord. This infamous fjord region is located in the western part of the country and can be reached conveniently on a road trip from Oslo to Bergen. Atlantic Route is an eight kilometer passage connecting towns

of Kristiansund and Molde with low bridges bending over the sea. The ocean is inhabited by whales and dolphins that lucky ones may spot in a calm day.

Norway as the whole Nordic is a fisherman’s friend so remember to pack the rods with you!

If you get thirsty for culture, head to one of the various music festivals, admire the odd architecture of stave churches and experience the Norwegian cuisine that is famous for varieties of fish and sweet brown cheese, brunost.

I celand is not called the magical island for no reason. The landscape is a mixture of interesting

phenomena such as erupting volcanoes and fire, black beaches and hot geysers, green valleys and picturesque colorful city sceneries. If you’re lucky, you can spot whales, seals and dolphins that lodge the iced waters circling the island. Iceland’s fauna also includes peculiar birds such as sympathetic looking puffins that resemble tiny penguins.

Volcanoes label rugged and rocky landscapes of the island. Volcanic eruptions and earthquakes follow one another. Iceland has several active volcanoes, the most famous of them being mount Hekla which erupted last time over a decade ago.

ICELAND

With a Motorhome you’re able to explore the main roads of the island. The main road, Route 1 is about 1300 kilometers long and offers a variety of things to see and experience. Make a day trip to Blue Lagoon or ride an Icelandic horse through mountains and lava fields. Before returning to home, take some time to visit country’s capital, Reykjavik that offers very extensive cultural scene despite its size.

Icelandic culture is a colorful mixture of literature, performing arts, films and festivals. Musicians such as Björk and Jónsi are Icelanders.

22

Everyman’s right dates back to the Viking era

Everyman’s right is the old Nordic tradition dating back all the way to the Viking era. Vast forests surrounding villages were seen

as no one’s property but rather a common good, free for all to enjoy. Everyman’s right is a set of generally accepted traditions and it varies a little among each Nordic country. Respecting nature and its habitants is in the core of this tradition. Before you camp, be aware of the local rules!

In Finland, Sweden and Norway you’re allowed to access land and waterways regardless who owns the land. These rights are also applied to foreign citizens with some exceptions concerning local hunting, fishing and boating rights. In general everyone has a liberty to roam in the nature and pick berries and mushrooms, as long as they are not the protected species. Nature wanderer has to stay nevertheless far enough from the immediate vicinity of peoples’ homes and cottages, and cultivated areas and plantations that might be harmed by human intervention.

You are allowed to fish with a rod and line and camp in the countryside temporarily, as long as you keep the distance to homes. When you roam freely, remember not to leave any trash behind and do not destroy, disturb or damage any living species. Making a camp fire in the nature is usually prohibited all year around with some exceptions, but especially during the time when the risk of forest fire is bigger.

In Iceland one must have a permit for fishing. Picking up wild berries, flowers and mushrooms is not allowed on a private land without the landowner’s permission. However one can cross uncultivated private land without permission, and any public land, as long as the nature is left untouched. Accessing public land has also exceptions, such as the access during breeding seasons and sensitive growth periods. Driving off a common road with a motor vehicle is not allowed in any of the Nordic countries.

Always leave the nature as it was before your trip!

24

25

National parks work as a gateway to untouched nature!

Spend a day or two hiking in one of the many national parks of the Nordic. Exhale the scent of the arctic air and let the wilderness

and rugged landscapes surrender you. An adventure in a national park’s marked trail is safe and there are paths tailored to meet every kind of hiker’s needs. Stay few hours, one day or a week. Let your mind wander and imagination fly! Campfire stories will get fuel from the surroundings that, according to the previous generations, were inhabited by mythical creatures such as trolls, elves and fairies each possessing intriguing characteristics and magical powers.

National parks have an objective to conserve nature whilst simultaneously offering people a chance to breathe fresh air outdoors - without forgetting the future generations. Finland has 37 national parks, Sweden 29, Norway 41 and Iceland three. National parks have also a more profound goal of broadening one’s comprehension of the nature with its various species that cannot be preserved without respecting the fragility of the entire ecosystem.

Campgrounds

Campgrounds are usually located in the key areas and they offer services tailored to meet travelers needs. Best example of this is Rastila Camping

that is only a metro trip away from the city centre of Helsinki and offers a perfect possibility for first and last night with Touring Cars Motorhome. These services include sauna, showers, restrooms and cooking facilities - all this this in beautiful nature surroundings!

In a summer season it is good idea to call the camping ground in advance to ensure your spot! Quality campgrounds like Rastila usually have their own websites (www.rastilacamping.fi) that might be useful to check out already before the holiday. These can be found in a collective camping website of each country.

Campgrounds offer you an opportunity to empty the toilette cassette and waste water tank and to refill the fresh water container. Take also advantage of external 220-230 V power source that enables you to use your Motorhome’s plugs and conserves the vehicle’s battery. The necessary electric cables travel with you as they belong to the rental vehicles’ standard gear.

In a campsite leave enough safety distance for your campground neighbors. This is not to avoid their company, but to ensure the fire safety! Recommendation is to leave a minimum of four meters distance between each Motorhome at a campground.

Camping customs as well as everyman’s right may vary between the Nordic countries and you can read more about your destination’s customs from that country’s Visit website.

Recycling saves nature and money

Preserving nature is everyone’s lifelong project and doesn’t stop even on a holiday. Recycling garbage has been made convenient in the Nordic

countries. The best supermarkets have recycling bins on their parking areas. Therefore on your holiday you can combine recycling and shopping for daily groceries. Touring Cars Motorhome is equipped with quality dining and cooking ware so using disposable plates and cups in not necessary.

Remember to keep the safety distance while camping

30

Page 31: Touring Cars Holiday Guide book

31

Tips for green touring• Never empty the grey water tank or toilette cassette in nature!

Take advantage of your campgrounds facilities for emptying the tanks.

• You can recycle e.g. glass, paper, metal, cardboard and bio waste.

• You get money in return when you take empty bottles to the grocery store’s recycling bank!

• Keep campfires small to minimize pollution. Don’t burn plastic, foils or metals.

• Use non-toxic cleaning supplies.

• Drive smoothly and keep the safety distance to consume less fuel!

• Use a canvas bag whenever you can when shopping.

Luxury cruise ship brings sea breeze to your holiday!

Pick-up your Motorhome from our rental station in Helsinki and drop it off to Stockholm! The

One-way possibility brings a new dimension for the holiday planning. The most convenient way to travel from south of Finland to Sweden, or vice versa, is to relax a day on a luxury cruise ship. You can take a ferry from Helsinki or from the historical city of Turku in Finland and enjoy the international ferry atmosphere with live musicians, fine dining and night life, without forgetting tax free shopping possibilities! If you wish, you can skip the partying and get refreshed on the boat’s spa section. After a well slept night, enjoy delicious sailor breakfast before heading towards new adventures on the other side of the gulf!

Experience maritime life in Åland!

You have also an option to explore the Åland islands, the intriguing autonomous Swedish

speaking entity located in the northern part of the Baltic Sea between Finland and Sweden. On a cruise between Finland and Sweden you can choose to stay few days in Åland before continuing to your actual destination. Mainland Åland is surrounded by 6500 smaller islands and is famous for its always sunny archipelago. The inhabited islands are connected to one another with ferry connections enabling you to explore the village life! Åland is perfect for bicycling. Where the path suitable for a Motorhome ends, you may discover new routes on a bike! Fill up your picnic basket with locally produced farm goods including black bread, pastries and apple cider without forgetting fresh seafood. Spread your blankets on bedrock shaped by glacier ice, lay down and relax.

Travel tips on board• Especially during the summer season, it is

recommendable to book your ferry trip well in advance. You can also book your place in a ferry via Touring Cars simultaneously when booking your Motorhome. Ask about meal options to ensure your place in a buffet!

• With Touring Cars Motorhome you’re allowed to travel between Helsinki, Åland and Stockholm. If you wish to travel to Tallinn, save this to the end of your trip after returning the Motorhome, as you cannot take your rental vehicle to the Baltic countries.

• Reserve enough time for the cargo check-in! With a Motorhome make sure to be at the check-in at least one hour prior to the departure and in case you travel from Stockholm to Mariehamn in Åland, make sure to be at the check-in already 1.5 hours before the ship takes off.

• Before entering the ferry with your Motorhome, turn off all the gas valves inside the vehicle and close the gas bottle.

• At the check-in your ticket is changed to a boarding card. You will also receive vouchers and coupons for all the other pre-paid items. Remember that you will need identification document with you.

• When entering the ferry, keep your vehicles length and height in mind, and beware of the low ceilings and narrow passages!

• Upon arrival, make sure to be again on the car deck on time to drive your vehicle out of the ship. Do not start your vehicle’s engine before you can actually exit the ferry.

Matkailuautomme pitävät sisällään kaiken mitä lomallasi tarvitset. Jokaisessa autossa

Page 46: Touring Cars Holiday Guide book

46

Auton palautus

Lomasi jälkeen henkilökuntamme odottaa sinua takaisin toimipisteellemme ilmoit-

tamanasi kellonaikana. Huomioithan, että auto on palautettava takaisin vähintään kolme tuntia ennen ulkomaan lentoa. Auton kunto tarkastetaan noudon yhteydessä täytetyn vahinkoraportin avulla.

Olemme laatineet sinulle muistilistan ennen palautusta suoritettavista toimenpiteistä:

• WC -kasetin ja harmaavesisäiliön tyhjennys

• Roskakorien tyhjennys

• Mattojen puistelu

Driving in the Nordic• Traffic: right-hand traffic

• The weather, especially strong winds, may affect the driving conditions in Iceland. You will get information about this from Touring Cars personnel at the pick-up of your Motorhome.

• Seatbelts are mandatory in the Nordic countries.

• Headlights are mandatory whilst driving 24/7 around the year everywhere in the Nordic countries.

• Alcohol and driving: driving under influence is strictly prohibited.

• Road Tolls: in Norway use always autoPASS lanes when driving as Touring Cars Motorhomes have autoPASS tags in them and these fees are included to your rental rate.

• Roadside rest areas: ideal for short stops when driving long distances. In Finland you can stay at a rest area even over the night, but camping is prohibited. Elsewhere in the Nordic overnight stays are generally not allowed. For your own safety and comfort we recommend staying on camping areas especially near big cities.

• Filling the water tank: Petrol stations and camping sites often offer water supply free of charge. If no hose is provided you may use the one placed in your rental vehicle.

• Emptying the waste water: Camping sites have designated areas for emptying the gray water tanks. If there is no strong chemicals it may also be emptied to any sewage.

• Emptying the toilet cassette: Toilet casset´s size is convenient to be easily carried. Casset can be emptied in any regular toilet or in designated areas in camping sites.

Driving tips

Acknowledge the rental vehicle’s height and length! Take into consideration low bridges, rooftops covering the gas pumps and tree branches bending over smaller roads.

When you reverse, it is a good idea to ask the person next to you to check that there’s nothing behind the vehicle.

With a Motorhome you cannot access all the same roads as passenger vehicles.

Remember to close all the windows, doors, compartments and sunroofs!

Lock all the interior cabinets to prevent objects from falling down when driving.

Page 57: Touring Cars Holiday Guide book

57

Extra tips

• If you’re driving uphill, you have to shift to a lower gear every time the vehicle starts slowing down. Do not press the gas pedal down on steep grades as this consumes a lot of fuel and overheats the engine and transmission.

• When you drive downhill, shift to a lower gear to alter the speed to slower and safer level. Never use breaks as a sole method to control speed.

• Driving according to the speed limits enable safer and stress free travelling. Moderate speed and steady driving save nature and money!

Maintenance tips

• TC Motorhomes are diesel vehicles. There is a warm up light illuminated when you turn the engine on. Wait until this light dims and start the engine.

• After driving a long distance, let the engine cool down for a minute or two without turning the engine off.

• When filling in the diesel tank: turn off all gas appliances and engine. Engines use approximately 10 to 12 liters per 100 kilometers.

• Please check the engine oil levels after every 1000 kilometers, add only after consulting Touring Cars about the right oil type.

• Close the gas and main electric switches if possible.

• Alert local fire department to help you if needed.

• After the emergency is resolved and everybody is safe, please inform our rental station staff member about it.

Technical tips

Main panel is located above the house part entrance. In order to use the water taps and interior lights, the main power has to be switched on. However, when you don’t need these functions, keep the main power off to save the batteries! Driving charges both of the batteries. When camping, use external electricity source always when available.

Refrigerator can be cooled with 230 V of electricity, gas or engine battery when driving. When you use gas, make sure the gas valve for refrigerator is switched open (the vertical position).

Gas valves are open in a vertical and closed in a horizontal position. When you don’t use the stove, please close the valve. If you go to a ferry, make sure to close all the valves and the gas bottle in the gas compartment.

Stove functions with gas. After the use, let the stove cool down before closing the cover. Before the use, open the gas valve for the stove and remember to close it always after the use.

Anti-freeze system protects the boiler and pipes at cold temperatures. Valve opens automatically and releases the water if the Motorhome is not heated when the temperature goes close to freezing. If the water is running underneath your vehicle, check that the safety valve is in a correct position. 1) Locate the red button and lift it up or >

1.

Heater works in most of the vehicles with gas and electricity both. In some models, heater functions only with gas. The heater panel has usually two knobs. On the right hand side you can select the energy source and from the left hand side what you want to heat (air, water or both). Green light illuminates when the heater functions, yellow light is lid whilst heating water. Red light tells you that heater is on, but doesn’t function.

Page 62: Touring Cars Holiday Guide book

62

Gas bottlesGas bottles are standard equipment of the Motorhome and are situated in the separate compartment outside the vehicle or in the garage. Each Nordic country uses a different type of a gas bottle. Therefore the replacement bottle has to be purchased from the pick-up country.

Fresh water systemFresh water system carries 120 liters of water. At the pick up your motorhome’s water tank is ready for use. You can check how much water you have from the control panel above the living part’s door. If you run out of water, you can fill the container for example on the campgrounds. Access to the tank is on the exterior wall. If the taps are coughing after a refill and water doesn’t run out, you need to air the pipes. This is done by simply opening a tap in a cold position. After a little while water should run fluently. When you heat water, you may need to do the same procedure to get the hot water running.

2) Locate the blue square next to the water boiler and turn it when simultaneously pushing the button on its side. In summertime the anti-freeze valve may open on a bumpy road or during the cool Nordic nights.

Pull the gray handle on the side of the toilet seat to open the access to the waste cassette. Flush button is situated next to the seat. After the use, close the connection to the cassette again in order to prevent odor.

2.

63

To be eligible to rent, you must have a valid driver’s license and a credit card. Make sure your credit card’s daily purchase limit enables reserving the deposit.

Pets are welcomed on request only. An additional cleaning charge will apply.

Smoking is prohibited in your rental vehicle.

All Touring Cars Motorhomes are diesel vehicles

Please note

Toilet cassette can be accessed from a separate compartment outside. To empty the cassette, lift the releasing handle to pull the cassette out, turn the pipe sideways and unscrew the cap. Press the button on the side of the cassette when you pour in order to make emptying easier. After the cassette is empty, add one cork of toilet chemical and mix it with a little bit of water. Now the cassette is ready for use again! Never use the toilet without toilet chemical.

At the pick-up there’s a lot of information on how to use the Motorhome and these main guidelines are here to support your memory on the road. All of our Motorhomes are equipped with air and water heater, gas stove, refrigerator and bathroom that has a shower and a chemical toilet.

64

Why is there no running water? Please check these following points:

1. Check is the main electricity switch (12V) turned on in the control panel.

2. Is there water in the fresh water tank?

3. If the fresh water tank was totally empty before you filled it up:

• Open all water taps and keep them open in the middle of hot/cold selection as long as water is streaming smoothly in all water taps

• Sometimes it might take a moment (some minutes) before all air pressure is removed out of the pipes and water streams smoothly.

• Air bubbles may form to the bottom of the pump which will prevent water being drawn in. Shake the pump up and down gently in the water

4. Try another water tap to see if it works

• If answer is yes: the first water tap is broken and has to be replaced

5. Check that the water pump is running and under the water level inside the tank

• If you can not hear any sound, the pump itself may be damaged or the fuse of the pump may be broken. There is a spare water pump and spare fuses in the vehicle.

6. If you narrow down the problem to a broken fuse; Locate the fuse box for the living part appliances. It is normally located under the passenger´s or driver´s seat (can also be located under the seat boards or in the trunk). Search for a labelled 5 A fuse place by name “pumpe”. Some models are equipped with fuse maps.

Frequently asked questions

Why is the water leaking under the vehicle?

1. If the leaking point is right under the fresh water tank:

• Check that the bottom plug of the fresh water tank well fastened.

• If there is black triangle shaped opening/closing mechanism on top of the fresh water tank make sure it is well tighten up

2. If the leaking point is under the heater and hot water boiler; Locate the safety/drainage valve (frost control/ antifreeze) of the water boiler, normally very close to the heater and make sure that the temperature around the safety/drainage valve is +8 C° or more as the system does not stay on if temperature is not high enough. There is either a blue rotary switch or red push button knob on top of the safety/drainage valve. Check that the safety valves are as instructed below

• Red knob (Pic.1.): Lift the red knob up > system is on and water won´t drain anymore

• Blue rotary switch (Pic.2): Turn the knob (a)crosswise to the safety/drainage valve (parallel to the water connection) and push the blue button (b) on the side of it.

65

Why doesn’t the heater work?

1. Check that you have given the heater enough time to heat up. It requires at least 20 minutes for the boiler to heat up the water.

2. Check if there is any led light in heater´s control unit when the heater is set on; Green light means that the heater is ok. Increase heating volume by turning the round switch. Red light means that the heater has a malfunction:

• Check the control panel that the main power is on

• Check that there is enough operating voltage on the living area battery. Recharge battery if needed

• If the operating voltage is dropping down really fast when the heater is set on or there is a red alarm light blinking on the control panel, it may mean that the house side battery is damaged.

• Turn the heater off and double check that the gas bottle connection and the indoor’s gas valve are open.

• Check that the gas stove is functioning and all three burners are burning to see that there is enough gas in the bottle

• Wait few minutes and restart the heater (repeat couple of times if needed)

• Activate the gas stove and let all three burners run for a minute.

• If you are using gas as a heating option, check that the gas option is selected from the control unit. Choose the flame symbol from the control unit(s).

• Restart the heater

3. Contact the rental station if these actions won’t solve the problem or if there is a yellow light on.

Why isn’t the refrigerator cooling?Make sure that the maximum cooling level is on. Check that you have given enough time for cooling. It takes few hours to reach the optimal cooling temperature, especially if the fridge is packed full. Note that the freezer compartment takes the longest to cool. Follow the instructions depending on the power source:

1. Gas

• Is the gas bottle connection open? Also ensure that the bottle has gas in it.

• Is the gas isolator tap (snow flake symbol) for refrigerator open? – upright positioned

• Is the gas flame symbol selected on the fridges control panel?

• If there is a small circle window inside the fridge, the gas flame is visible behind it when ignited If the flame is not visible, give some spark and meantime press cooling level rotary switch down - choose almost maximum cooling level before ignition. Sometimes this operation must be repeated couple of times until flame stays on

2. Electricity

• Check that the electricity cable is connected between the vehicle and the external power source.

• Check that you have chosen an electricity plug symbol from the fridge´s control panel

• Check that the 230V automatic fuse is in upper position

3. Battery (starter battery)

• Check that the engine is running

Insurances

All of the rental vehicles are covered by a local motor insurance. The insurance is divided into two different parts. First is a compulsory

insurance covering all the damages and accidents caused by you and your rental vehicle to the third party. The other is a collision insurance which covers all the exterior damages caused to your rental vehicle in an accident, fire or theft. Interior damages are not covered by this insurance unless they occur in a traffic accident, fire or theft. This insurance does not cover personal medical expenses, baggage or other personal property, unless the damage is directly connected to a traffic accident. Each of the rentals includes TC Basic insurance with the deductible of EUR 2400. The deductible can be decreased to EUR 1200 (TC Plus), to EUR 600 (TC Premium) or to EUR 0 (TC Total) for a daily price. The minimum reduction period is seven days for TC Plus and TC Premium, and ten days for TC Total. Please note that for the TC Total, EUR 0 deductible is limited for the first damage only, and the second damage onwards it follows the principles of the TC Premium.

If your deductible level is e.g. EUR 2400, the insurance covers the damage exceeding that amount. Please take into account that the insurance level defines your liability maximum per damage, not per rental period. If there are multiple damages by different causes, there is no upper limit for charges. Our personnel will give you more information about the insurances at the pick-up.

In order to validate the insurance, an insurance deposit will be reserved from your credit card. Please make sure that your credit card’s limit allows making this reservation. The amount of the deposit follows the chosen deductible level. Visa and Master Card credit cards are accepted.

Please note that only authorized driver can drive the rental vehicle. Each authorized driver has to be included in the rental agreement. The person who signs the agreement is fully responsible for all the damages caused by an unauthorized driver. In addition, any additional insurance coverage will be voided if an unauthorized driver operates the vehicle.

If you have any questions, please indicate it before you sign the agreement. After the agreement has been signed, you are liable to obey the conditions.

Damages

Damages are repaired right away after each rental or by the end of the season depending on how big is the damage. Damages requiring painter’s work are usually fixed in the end of the season because all the Motorhomes are working on the road whole summer. Our goal is to maintain high quality of the Motorhomes and comfortable stay during your holiday!

To make an insurance case, we will need the following information for the insurance provider:

• The date, time and location

• How it happened

• Cause of the accident and the circumstances

In case of an accident with a third party, always call the police on the spot for a report. This is to state the liability for the insurance case. If the accident was caused by a third party and the liability is stated in a report, Touring Cars refunds the damage compensation to you after being compensated by the other party’s insurance company.

Tips for driving in Iceland• Slow down whenever you go from an asphalt road to a gravel road and show

precaution when approaching an oncoming car by slowing down.

• Bridges are often wide enough for only one car at a time.

• Driving on highlands roads is prohibited! Driving on all roads marked with an “F” is strictly prohibited!

• While driving on gravel roads speed should be kept to a minimum and driving over rivers that do not have bridges is strictly forbidden.

• The most important thing to keep in mind while in Iceland is to be aware of the fact that the weather can change suddenly and that the wind speed can become very high. It is strictly forbidden to drive the vehicle when the wind speed exceeds 15 meters per second. In this case find a spot where you can park the vehicle with the front facing the wind and stay in the vehicle until the weather calms down.

Call Touring Cars service phone +354 783 5722 if you have any questions. You can also call the public Road Service in Iceland if you have any doubts over the weather conditions: +354 1778. Please note that you will get an answering machine, which is in English, where you will be able to find your location by pressing the numbers on your cell phone as requested.
