County Engineer: County of Del Norte currently has one vacancy for the position of County Engineer in the Del Norte County Community Development
Department. Starting Wage for the position is: $2,776.64 to $3,375.01 depending on experience. Position entails: Assist the Community Development Director in
planning, coordination and administration of the Engineering/Surveying Division. Has responsible charge for County engineering functions including approval of
construction improvement drawings and Public Works facilities. Supervises and reviews construction inspections of Public Works contracts including preparations
of change orders, project record keeping, processing progress payments and coordinating grants and permits. May serve as County Surveyor, signing all records of
survey, parcel maps, and subdivision maps, maintaining compliance with the Land Surveyors Act and the Subdivision Map Act. Reviews and oversees the preparation
of plans, specification, and cost estimates for Public Works projects such as roads, bridges, airports, drainage channels and related structures. Reviews building
permits and makes recommendations as to encroachment on County maintained roads, access requirements and drainage improvements. Supervises and analyzes the

State and Federal agencies. Acts as information source and provides assistance to the public regarding division policies and programs. Serves on the Technical
Advisory Committee to the Local Transportation Commission. Represents the division at committee and public meetings, including the Board of Supervisors when
necessary. Supervises division personnel including participation in the hiring, discipline, and evaluation of the employees and training of the new division employees.
Performs related duties as required. Qualifications: A valid California Driver’s License or the ability to obtain one at the time of hire. Bachelor’s degree in civil
engineering. Possession of Certification as a Civil Engineer by the State Board of Registration for Professional Engineers. Authorization to practice land surveying

Volunteer Client Advocate: Harrington House is seeking a qualified Volunteer Client Advocate. The Volunteer Client Advocate is responsible for responding to
and assessing domestic violent victim’s needs. Required to perform routine procedures such as: client assessments, intakes, referrals, client needs, and exit
interview and discharge. Provide crisis intervention and peer counseling. Maintain confidentiality of client information at all times. Household chores including
but not limited to; laundry, room cleaning, dishes, bathroom cleaning, event preparation, and clean up required to keep house running smoothly. Other duties as
assigned. Must have 40-hour Domestic Violence Training completion certificate or ability to obtain this training (Harrington House Will provide 40 hour required
training), Bi-lingual individual highly desired. Must be able to pass a background check, drug screening test, fingerprinting and pass CPR/First Aid training. Must
