Art News This week in Art the students have been looking once again at Melbourne artist Mirka Mora, and the distinctive style she paints in. Children have enjoyed trying to create their own playful images in response to her work.

Some of grade 3/4’s work, haven’t they done an amazing job! The Preps completed of marvellous collage of

their work of ‘fishes in the sea’. We have been

looking at all the different kinds of fish there are

and how to paint them. They have been very

excited to paint stripy ones, thin ones, curly

ones, and many others.

Please come and have a look at their work

in the Prep area!

It’s simple to participate: from Monday 8th April

your local Woolworths. *excludes liquor, cigarettes, and

Same great partnership with MTA: we’re proud

to say we’re partnering once again with Modern Teaching

Aids – Australia’s biggest supplier of resources for

schools. Which means you can choose your resources

based on your unique needs, across every category

possible including mathematics & English resources,

science equipment, arts & crafts materials, sports gear,

etc.

We can’t wait to help your school earn valuable learning

resources, just by shopping at Woolworths.

We have received our resources from the 2012

program and the teachers and children are thrilled with what we received. This program is well worth supporting. Below is a photo of just some of the goods we received.

After the success of Run Around Australia last year,

Rosebud Plaza Shopping Centre invites our school to

participate in 2013 for the chance to win thousands

of dollars worth of prizes!

When Does It Start?

Monday 15th April 2013 and will run for 6 weeks

ending on Sunday 26th May 2013.

Tomorrow is National Ride to School Day and we encourage all children to find an active mode of transport to school. For those children who live further away from school or do not have a bicycle there will be a ‘walking school bus’ leaving from Beach carpark opposite the Shell Petrol Station and Truemans Road Athletic Track Carpark at 8.25am with teachers supervising their journey to school. Your child should have returned their orange note to enable them to participate.
