Today we have higher buildings and wider highways, but

shorter temperaments and narrower points of view.

We spend more, but enjoy less.

We have bigger houses, but smaller families.

We have more compromises, but less time.

We have more knowledge, but less judgement.

We have more medicine, but less health.

We have multiplied our possessions, but reduced our values.

We talk a lot, love a little, and hate too much.

We’ve been to the moon and back, but we find it troublesome to go next door and meet our neighbors.

We have conquered outer space, but lost our inner space.

We have higher incomes, but less morals...

More liberty, but less spirit...

More food, but less nutrition...

These are days of expensive weddings, but even more costly divorces.

Even finer houses, but more broken homes.

That’s why I propose that as of today...

Don’t save anything for a special occasion, because every day that you live is a special occasion.

Search for truth, gain knowledge, admire the view along the way, connect with people on a deeper level.

All this without obsessing about things, status, self, and consuming anything and everything in your way.

Pass more time with your family and friends, eat your favorite foods with people you love, and visit places you

adore and places that are new and exciting.

Life is a chain of beautiful moments of enjoyment - it isn’t just survival.

Use something today that you have been saving for “tomorrow.”

Remove from your vocabulary phrases like “One of these days,” “Someday soon” and “When I have

enough money.”

Make time for your personal “to do” list, prioritize the things you don’t get paid for, don’t just wonder what

happened to that friend – reconnect and know how they are.
