Comparison Essay Cine Center / Cine Palace

Santa Cruz de la Sierra has many activities in order to have friends or familiy.

Among these alternatives, the most popular is cinema. As we know, there are

many cinemas in town. In this essay I will compare differences between Cine

Center and Cine Palace like location, facilities and attendance.

First, Santa Cruz is a big city, so location is a very important issue. Cine

Center is located at El Trompillo Avenue, between Rene Moreno y Monseor

Rivero Street in the south of the city, you can get there easily by bus or car. On

the other hand, Cine Palace is located on Libertad Street just across the main

square in downtown. Unlike Cine Center, you can olnly get there by car,

Downtown is also known for it's traffic jams, so you better keep that in mind

before choosing one.

Second, facilities are important as well. Cine Center is not only a cinema,

but a complete food court with plenty of alternatives, from traditional food to fast

food and even two fancy restaurants. Besides the big food court, it has a huge

parking lot for over 300 cars, 15 screens, and 3D technology, ATM access, and

famous brands stores. On the other hand, Cine Palace has only one coffeshop,

no parking lot, 3 screens, and no 3D technology.

Third, attendance and social aspects. Cine Center is a crowded place

because of it's different atractions (food, games, stores) apart from cinema, for

that reason Cine Center could be dirty and smelly sometimes. You can also buy

your tickets in advance through your cell phone. On the other hand, Cine

Palace is a less attended place, so cleaning staff is able to make a better work

keeping the place tidy. Differently to Cine Center, you can not buy your tickets

in advance.

To finish, I would recommend you to go to Cine Center if you want to spend

some time with your family or friends and enjoy other activities besides

watching movies. Nevertheless, if the movie you have been waiting for so long

is just released in both cinemas, pick Cine Palace, you will not have to deal with

many people and annoying children, just remember the important thing is have

fun and enjoy the movie with a supersized pop corn and coca cola combo and

please do not forget to turn off your phone during the movie, be polite.
