1) We are happy to provide a full refund if you have to cancel a class, as long as you notify the Adult Education office during business hours at 533-2967. REFUND DEADLINE is Thursday 4pm of the first week of classes. 2) Should Adult Ed. office cancel a class, you will be notified and receive a full refund. 3) Students must be at least 16 years of age to register to attend adult education classes. GRANT WRITING BASICS — Laurie will cover the basics of grant writing starting with finding funding sources using databases. The process of grant writing from proposals, the writing, editing, budget proposal, data analysis, support letters, final review, critique—this and more will be studied with
Laurie. This is a valuable course for individuals, entrepreneurs, and business professionals.
BIRDING BASICS - Gary is the renowned “Birding Authority” and we are fortunate to have him return. Learn basic equipment, field identification, bird characteristics, songs and habitats via combinations of four classroom evenings and two Saturday field trips. Reinforce your learning on the field trips with review of trip sights and pictures during the following class—a great method for learning. Excellent ratings on his class.

BLUEGRASS FLATPICKING FOR INTERMEDIATE GUITAR—Not for complete beginners, but if you know some chords and can change between chords fluently, feel free to join. This class will survey techniques, left hand and right hand to get into this popular style of guitar playing. Bring your guitar & get ready to play.
KNITTING WITH KAROLEE This class is all about “warm & fuzzies”. If you are a new to advanced knitter, you are encouraged to try new techniques throughout the semester. Bring a project in progress or we will discuss a new project to challenge you. New knitters, please bring a skein of worsted weight yarn and size 8 knitting needles. BUTTE HERITAGE COOKBOOK COOKING — Come n’ Get it! Lets have some fun cooking up traditional and nostalgic recipes. Each week, using Butte’s Heritage Cookbook, we will learn how to cook some of Butte’s favorite recipes from the actual descendants of people who contributed the recipes.
