We are excited to expand our family! We

met in 1995, were married in 2003 and

adopted Sean in 2013. Choosing adoption to

begin our family was the perfect decision for us.

THROUGH OUR FIRST ADOPTION, WE

DISCOVERED THE TREMENDOUS AMOUNT

OF LOVE AND COMPASSION FROM SEAN’S

BIRTH MOTHER IN MAKING THE DECISION

TO PLACE HIM FOR ADOPTION. We

discovered the magic of being parents and Sean

discovered how much love we have to offer.

Family is a core value for us. We both have

amazing parents, great siblings and special

nieces and nephews. We have always wanted

two children. We are excited to give Sean a

sibling and for us to experience adoption again.

Thank you for considering adoption. It is a

wonderful act of love like no other. Just as you

are making a selfless decision, we promise to

completely dedicate ourselves to our children.

It was hard for us to understand the adoption

process until we experienced it. The compassion

and love we felt from the birth mother in making

the decision to place Sean with us and the courage

to make that decision show that Sean was loved

from the moment he was conceived. The fact that

the birth mother could not raise him as her own

in no way diminished her compassion, Sean’s

specialness or our ability to be his parents.

Sara has a brother and two sisters. Tim has a brother

and a sister. We know the importance of siblings and

family and we want Sean to have a sibling as well.

We always thought two children was the perfect

number. Two means we have enough time to devote

to each child and still give our children a sibling.

Having gone through the adoption process,

we know what to expect. In part, we know to

expect the unexpected. We understand the love,

compassion, heart ache and commitment that

goes into an adoption. WE ARE EXCITED TO MAKE

THIS JOURNEY AGAIN AND WE ARE EXCITED

TO MAKE THE SAME COMMITMENT TO A NEW

BIRTH MOTHER, A NEW BABY AND OUR FAMILY.

ourSPECIALJOURNEYto adoption

We met within minutes of arriving at college freshman year & felt an

instant connection with each other!

SARA WAS WALKING UP THE STAIRWELL WITH

HER BIKE AND TIM WAS WALKING DOWN.

When our eyes met, there was an immediate

connection. Three days later, we started dating

and we have been together ever since.

Our college years together were a great time and

formed the foundation of our relationship. After

college we both attended graduate school, Sara went

to nursing school and Tim went to law school. After

eight years of dating we were married in May 2003!

After years of trying to have a child biologically, we

decided to consider adoption. We did not know much

about the adoption process and we had to take a

big leap of faith that it was the right move for us. In

February 2013, Sean was born and was immediately

placed into our arms. The connection was immediate.

HOWEVER, A BIG PART IN ESTABLISHING THE

CONNECTION AND MAKING SEAN FEEL LIKE

OUR SON WAS DUE TO HIS

AMAZING BIRTH MOTHER.

INTRODUCING SARA INTRODUCING TIM

TIM IS THE MOST AMAZING HUSBAND AND FATHER. He

is my best friend and soulmate. Words cannot describe his

unconditional love for his family. Tim is a very active person.

He loves showing us all his fun activities. He takes Sean

fishing, paddle boarding, to the beach, rides on the bike, even

mowing the lawn. Tim has shown me so many fun activities,

such as fishing, riding the waves, and growing a garden—

things that a girl from New York City never experienced.

Tim was a history major in college and graduated with honors.

He then went on to law school and business school. He is now

a successful attorney. EVEN THOUGH HE HAS HIS CAREER,

TIM ALWAYS PLACES HIS FAMILY FIRST. He is always home

for dinner with the family which is always a good time.

As a husband, Tim is loyal, loving, funny and most

importantly, always there with a smile on his face with

his huge dimples. Tim makes me feel so special. It

is great to see him do the same for Sean.

Growing up with two older siblings, he is excited for Sean

to have a sibling to experience the joy and challenges

it can bring. I was so impressed with Tim’s immediate

attachment to Sean and cannot wait to see that again.

Every child should be so lucky to have Tim as a dad!

Sara has been by my side since the first day of college and

though we have had many challenges over the years, we always

persevere. Sara is an extremely accomplished individual. In

college she was a dual major: French and Pre-Med. She even won

the award for the most outstanding French student! Following

college, she went for a master degree in nursing to become a

nurse practitioner. Upon graduating, she immediately went to

work for a large medical practice and has been there ever since.

Sara is always described by our friends as caring and

compassionate. She is an amazing listener and is always the

person a friend calls to talk. She genuinely cares about other

people and always thinks about how to make their day better.

AS A MOTHER, SARA IS A COMPLETE NATURAL.

She is very hands on with Sean and loves to teach

him things. Sara loves to do all sorts of activities with

Sean. It shows by his amazing development!

I could not imagine myself with a better wife or best friend.

There is no one word to describe Sara. She is loyal, caring, fun,

adventurous, simple and complex. She is the perfect mix of every

attribute. SHE WILL BE AN EXCELLENT MOTHER OF TWO.

Family is very important part of our

lives. Sara’s Mom has been happily

married to David for 28 years. She has

taught Sara her constant compassion

and thoughtfulness of others. David has

been a wonderful stepfather. Peter is

Sara’s adventurous, fun and dedicated

brother. She also has two aunts from

Europe that have so much to show you!

Sara’s Dad has taught her the value of

family, given her the courage to succeed,

as well as the strength to fulfill her dreams.

He has been happily married to Vivian who

has been a loving and nurturing woman to

Sara for 29 years. Sara has two wonderful

sisters, Alexis and Olivia, who love being

Sean’s aunt and can’t wait for another baby!

Tim’s parents have been happily married

for 45 years. His parents are his role

models – teaching him the value of family,

living life to the fullest, and being a good

husband. Tim has an older brother, Chris,

and older sister, Karen. Karen is married to

Kevin and they have four children. Chris is

married to Holly and they have two children.

AS YOU CAN SEE FROM THE PHOTOS,

SEAN HAS VERY ACTIVE COUSINS WHO

LOVE SPENDING TIME WITH HIM.

We have lots of wonderful

We live in a wonderful community with

almost 300 homes, several parks and a

brand new playground that Sean loves

to use. Our house is located on a cul-de-

sac with a large grassy front yard. Our

house has four bedrooms, so the new

baby will have his or her own room. We

have a large playroom that is dedicated

to kids. Our public schools are ranked #1

in the State and considered one of the

best school systems in the country.

We have two yellow labs that love to

be around Sean, especially when he is

dropping food on the floor! The dogs

are amazing with Sean. Sean loves to

give them hugs and pet them. He can be

aggressive in his affection and the dogs

don’t mind a bit. They love to hover at his

highchair to get the scraps and Sean is

generous about giving them to the dogs.

Sara and I both love to have fun, whether it

is going to the beach, playing on the water

(kite boarding), horseback riding or relaxing on

boats. We have enjoyed sharing these passions

with Sean. HAVING A BABY DID NOT MEAN

WE HAD TO SLOW DOWN, IT JUST MEANS

WE GET TO SEE THE EXCITEMENT IN SEAN’S

(AND OUR NEW LITTLE ONE'S) EYES TOO!

We also love to travel and explore new and

unfamiliar places! Our trips are always full of

adventure, whether it is skiing, sailing or simply

exploring! Sean has been to San Diego, New York

and the British Virgin Islands on a boat for a week.
