I really look forward to the walks, it’s really good to meet new people and it’s more fun and safer to go in a group. The walking is something for me, a way of looking after myself. I just leave the housework and go! I’ve learnt lots from the walks. they’ve shown me places I didn’t know and plants I’d not seen before, and reintroduced me to places I’d not been to for years.

At the end of the day them walks…then we

have a chit chat don’t we. That walk – the day after

you feel it! Mixing with different people that aren’t

your neighbours – have a chat with different

people about different things. It was a bit hard last

week but you’ve got to try and conquer things.

Redbridge Wellbeing and Obesity Strategy • Population in Redbridge : • Year 2017 Age 45-64 =66, 603 Age 65-84 = 30, 805 • Year 2026 Age 45-64 =78, 362 Age 65-84 = 37, 909 • Life expectancy at age 65 was 19.6 years for males

and 22 years for females. • 382 people came through Falls Prevention in Q1
