GradesGrade Weighting
We have set high goals as a district and as a building. We will be reviewing our grade/weight distribution and homework policies to promote student learning. This information will be communicated to you in newsletters, websites, and email blasts as these policies are developed and initiated.
Research indicates that schools in which homework is routinely assigned and assessed tend to have higher achieving students. Homework fosters student achievement, independence, and responsibility and serves as a vital link between school and home.
GradesAssessments – 70% of grade (May include
tests, projects, end of unit quizzes or writing pieces, etc.)
Class Work – 25% of grade (Includes daily class work, labs, exit slips, mid-unit quizzes)
Homework – 5% of grade
Assignment Notebook
Students should bring to class everyday!!
Great for parent – teacher communication!!
