Procedure

Important Note:The steps demonstrating how to navigate to the Risk Assessment will be provided in the future as the navigation process is finalized.

The Manage Risk Assessment Approvals training provides the steps for:

Submitting a Risk Assessment for Approval, Approving or Denying a Risk Assessment, and Overriding an Approval.

3. Click the Actions menu in the General Information section to access the Approval functions.

4. Select the Approval menu item.

Submit Risk Assessment for Approval

Upon completion of the Risk Assessment, you will be able to submit the Risk Assessment for Approval.

To start, click the Approval list item.


5. The Risk Assessment Approval pop-up window displays.

The Risk Assessment Approval pop-up window displays.


6. The Request Risk Assessment Approval area is enabled.

The Request Risk Assessment Approval area is enabled if there are no Approval History records or the last Approval History record was denied or overridden.

For this example, the Request Risk Assessment Approval is enabled. To start, click in the Send To textbox.


7. The Send To field.

The Send To field will list the supervisor of the County and the supervisors for all Administration Groups and Units of the County.

The Send To field defaults to one of the supervisors if:

the worker’s supervisor (based on primary affiliation) is one of the supervisors, or

the worker only has one supervisor that is available.

The supervisor will be able to select themselves in the Send To field.

To start, click in the Send To field.

The Submitted By field displays [Signed on User’s First Name ] [Signed on User’s Last Name] on [Current Date] [Current Time]. This field cannot be changed.

The Comments field is blank by default and required to submit a request for the Risk Assessment approval.

For this example, click in the Comments textbox to begin.

The Comments field will list recent comments beginning with the characters entered. You can also enter a unique comment.

For this example, select the Comments required menu item.

16. Warning! Message when Risk Factor section is incomplete.

A Warning! message displays if a Risk Assessment is submitted for approval without completely filling out the Risk Factors section including comments entered for Yes responses.

For this example, click OK and complete the Risk Factors section prior to submitting for approval.

18. Click the X to close the Risk Assessment Approval window.

After responding to each question in the Risk Factors section including providing comments for each Yes response, you are ready to submit the Risk Assessment for Approval.

To start, click the Actions menu in the General Information section to access the Approval functions.

22. The Risk Assessment Approval History is updated with the Approval request.

When the Request for Approval is successful...

An Approval History record is created with the request information.

The Request Approval panel is visible but disabled and displays the last request information.

The Submit button in the Request Approval panel changes to Approval Requested.

A Notification is sent to the Send To supervisor.

The Approve Risk Assessment panel displays and is enabled for the supervisor to approve or deny the Risk Assessment.



25. Click the Disposition radio button for Yes to Approve the Risk Assessment.

The Notify Requester? field defaults to No when the disposition is set to Approve but can be changed.


27. Click in the Comments field to add comments regarding the Approval.

For this example, click in the Comments field to add comments.

A supervisor will be able to Override an Approval if:

The supervisor is affiliated to the County of the Primary Worker's assignment to the Assessment or Case.

For this example, these conditions are met. To start, select the Override Approval button.
