The safety of your child is our top priority. For this reason we have several safety measures in place. All visitors to the building will be required to sign in and receive a visitors pass before going anywhere in the building other than the main office. If anyone is found in the building without checking in through the main office, they will be stopped by the Homeland Park staff and asked to do so. To maximize safety and minimize distractions to the school day, we will closely restrict non-scheduled visits to classrooms. As always, scheduled vol- unteers, observations, and appointments with teachers are welcome and encouraged. Additionally, you are always welcome to join your child at lunch if you would like to visit during the day. Thank you in advance for your cooperation with these critical safety measures. Nearing the end of the first nine weeks, I want to thank you for helping your child get off to a great start this year. As we continue to develop positive working relationships with each and everyone of you, please remember that our goal is to provide the best possible education for your child. If you have any questions or concerns, your first step should be to talk to your child's teacher. After talking to your child's teacher, if you would like to meet with an administrator, please call ahead and schedule an appointment so we can accommodate your request efficiently. Our administrative team is here to serve you and we are always happy to meet with parents. Because you matter, Christie Payne From Our Principal Title 1 School

Kindergarten Trip to Homeland Park Fire Station Fire Prevention Week

Because They Matter!

Homeland Park Primary students and faculty appreciate all of the hard work and care that our Custodial, Food Service,

and Security staff show everyday!

Fire Safety and Prevention Week was observed Monday, October 6th through Friday, October 10th. Homeland Park Primary Kindergar-ten students and teachers visited the local Fire Station, saw how the fire truck works, and learned how to be safe in the event of a fire.

Having smoke alarms in your home is very important. Smoke alarms let you know when there is a fire. Working smoke alarms give you time to get outside and stay outside. For more information about fire prevention and safety, par-ents and kids can go to http://www.sparky.org/parentpage/fpwkids.htm
