The natural extension of your hand!

  • No matter what Oertli operating equipment youprefer to use, you will always hold the same exquisiteTITANO instruments in your hand! The TITANO name

is synonymous with incomparable functionality, ergonomics and quality. Oertli products are manu-

factured by Oertli – world class since 1955.

  • Phaco inst ruments

With an external diameter of 13 mm, an internal infu-sion line and a feather-light weight of only 47 grams, the all-titanium Hexadisq® phaco handpiece has setthe standard since 2002.

Oertli phaco instruments and accessories are inter-coordinated componentsof the SCT (stable chamber technology) system. They have been especiallyoptimised for CMP (cool micro pulse) phaco. CMP signifies the lowest pos-sible energy, no burns, a stable anterior chamber and a clear cornea onthe first post-operational day.

    Recommendations: All phaco instruments

are fully autoclavable for multiple use.

We grant a 12-month warranty on phaco

handpieces. Phaco tips and irrigation sleeves

need to be replaced more frequently.

Worn phaco tips cut poorly and generate

bubbles, worn sleeves result in reduced infu-

sion with poor chamber stability and an

increased risk of burns. Replace tips and

    sleeves after 50 operations!

Single-use sterile tips, sleeves and test

  • I r r igat ion / asp i rat ion

“Quick Tip” I/A instrumentThis elegant instrument with slender ergonomic stylingis manufactured entirely in titanium and weighs only13 grams. Tip changeover and turning is a sterile pro-cess and only takes seconds.

TITANO I/A instruments are designed to complement Oertli operatingequipment perfectly and will guarantee an extremely stable anterior cham-ber. Particular attention has been given to the design of the I/A ports. The tips glide gently and smoothly through the incision. A linear overridefunction in both the CataRhex and OS3 units ensures highly efficient cap-sule cleaning and cortex aspiration.

  • Thanks to the advanced fast-lok-king mechanism, all “Quick Tip”tips can be exchanged in a matterof seconds – whilst retainingsterility – and turned to your pre-ferred position. The I/A tubes canbe attached and disconnectedwithout a twisting action. Thisallows a rapid changeover betweenthe phaco and I/A handpiece.

  • Bipo lar d iathermy

Elegant and slender diathermy handpieces, togetherwith attachable tips that use platinum electrodes, com-bine to make Oertli diathermy a precision instrumentfor extremely wide-ranging applications: micro andmacro-haemostasis, capsulotomy and, recently, glauco-ma surgery.

In 1972, Oertli was the fist company to introduce bipolar diathermy in theeye. The determination of frequency and material, in collaboration withProf. Klöti, continues to prove itself optimal right to this day, both for hae-mostasis as well as for tissue dissection. All Oertli operating systems areequipped with a HF control generator to facilitate extremely precise regu-lation and modulation of diathermy output. The CataRhex and OS3systems also support the ‘Instant Diathermy’ function.

Note: Diathermy tips should either be

cleaned immediately upon removal from the

eye, or kept moist until they are cleaned

and prepared for re-use. This will prevent

tissue remnants from sticking to tips and

prolong the service life of tips.

  • Vit rectomy cutters

Oertli makes no distinction between an anterior and aposterior vitrectomy. Responding exactly to its pedal con-troller, the electrically-operated SUS cutter will make aprecise, single cut action and operate at speeds of up to1200 cuts per minute as an efficient high-speed cuttingtool. The pneumatic Twinac cutters are even faster. SUS cutting heads feature a variable opening and are allmanufactured with a hand finish. This explains the uni-que quality of cuts.

Oertli set a solitary standard in 1971 for the quality of cuts with the Klöti stripper. The unmatched quality of cuts provided by this instrumentlives on today in Oertli high-speed vitrectomy cutters. While vitrectomieshave become a common surgical procedure, Oertli cutting quality conti-nues to remain unique.

VV103006 SUS Cutting head, 20G, guillotineSterile, single-use, box of 6 Handfinished

The operation of the pneumatically-driven Twinac® vitrectomy cutter is based on a distinctive, dual-action drive concept: both the cutting as well as the aspirationcycle are controlled by compressedair. This method allows for parti-cularly precise control over thevitrectomy process, ranging from asingle cut through to 2500 cutsper minute (dependent on thecontrol unit). An additional advan-tage of the Twinac®’s dual action is the loss of vibrations commonlyassociated with models equippedwith return springs. The ergono-mics are outstanding. Both finger-tip guidance (extension sleeveremoved) as well as a pencil-typegrip are possible.
