Dear SASEAS families,

We had a beautiful Mass Tuesday at the Seton campus with the National Pilgrim Virgin Statue of Our Lady of Fatima with us.

The statue is a beautiful hand-carved image of Our Lady of Fatima given to the United States by the bishop of Fatima after being

blessed by Pope Paul VI in 1967. She was crowned by Cardinal O’Boyle at the National Basilica in Washington, DC in 1971. This

statue presently travels across the United States and has proven time and again to be the catalyst for renewed interest in the message

of Fatima and for exposing new generations of Catholics who are unaware of the important message of conversion and peace

brought by Our Lady to the three shepherd children in 1917 at Fatima, Portugal. (More info)

One of our biggest fundraisers, the Run4Fun, is off and running (pun intended). A number of students have already stopped by the

office to ask for a second envelope after filling up their first one! We do have an online donation option as well; check it out on our

website here. There are a whole host of fun prizes and incentives for individual, homeroom, and entire school goals. Ask your

students about some incentives involving Mr. Grieco, myself, shaving cream, cheese balls, and silly string! Our goal is $25,000 to

support increased investments in our teachers, technology, tuition support, and campus improvements. Might your family or

company/business be willing to be a sponsor this year? Turn-in days are Wednesdays each week!

Our annual Everybody Counts Week at the Seton campus has been a success. I am so thankful for the parent volunteers and guest

speakers who come in and share their story. Students in K-5 are learning about various physical challenges people can face such as

blindness, hearing impairments, physical handicaps, etc. This Friday, we will have a fun and eye-opening wheelchair basketball

game at our Seton campus at 10:00 a.m. I have added an extra Spirit Day this Friday (for both campuses) to cap off Everybody

Counts Week.

I hope to see many of you this Friday, September 29 at our Family Movie Night. We will be watching “Trolls” under the stars. See

the frequent flyers for more information. Thank you to our PTO leaders for organizing this fun annual event. Also, information has

been sent home for a special collection we are doing this Friday night during Family Movie Night for the hurricane victims in

Puerto Rico. We have several families in our school with grandparents and extended family living in Puerto Rico, and so, our

The 8th graders had a great trip to Camp Kern today for their annual leadership and team-building retreat. Thank you to Mr. Grieco,

Mrs. Beiersdorfer, Mrs. Fasano (SMILE youth director), and Father Chris for leading the trip.

Thank you to everyone who supported the St. Andrew campus Mumkin Sale. This is one fundraiser that directly supports the 8th

grade’s annual trip to Washington, DC. It really helps to keep the costs down for families. St. Andrew students should be prepared

to pick up their orders this Saturday in the St. Andrew parking lot between 10:00 a.m. and noon. Thank you to Mrs. Clayton for all

of her work in coordinating the DC trip fundraisers. Have a great week!
