Totally Integrated Power, as the name says, combines all components of power distribution into an integrated entity, thus being

the answer to increasing market demands for the planning, installation and use of commercial, institutional and industrial buildings.

For Totally Integrated Power is based on integrated planning and design concepts, on perfectly harmonized, interface-optimized

products and systems, and communication and software modules for interfacing power distribution systems to industrial automation

    and building automation systems.

Totally Integrated Power accompanies every stage of electrical power distribution from the investment decision to the planning,

installation and use of a building. Our service covers a wide area, ranging from planning tools right up to the matching hardware:

from switchgear and distribution systems for medium-voltage to transformers, switching and protective devices as well as switchgear

and busbar trunking systems for low-voltage, as far as to the small distribution board and the wall outlet. Not only are the no-

maintenance medium-voltage switchgear and low-voltage switchgear type-tested, their busbar connections are too and

comprehensive protective systems guarantee human and machine safety at any time. Integrated room functionalities, such as

lighting and air-conditioning systems, provide the desired level of convenience in any building. SIMATIC powercontrol, the first

software tool for comprehensive power management helps to optimize operating costs. In times of rising electricity prices and

new legislation (e.g. Energy Savings Ordinance), this is of vital importance.

To sum up: Totally Integrated Power offers advantages to everyone involved in the project: for the investors, consultants, electricians

    and users.

Todays real estate market calls for buildings with attractive architecture with an equally attrac-

tive cost-to-benefit ratio. These are conditions which do not leave much leeway for unnecessary

risks. In addition, it is essential to make provisions for an utmost flexibility of building use at the

outset, in order to allow for individual planning as well as for a flexible response to changing

    conditions.

Totally Integrated Power eases planning and optimizes results by a demand-oriented dimension-

ing of electrical wiring and power distribution systems. This prevents unnecessary space require-

ments being defined. For reserves can be planned precisely and costs can be calculated accurate-

ly by simulating different scenarios of use.

Those who have to make aconstruction and development decisiontoday carefully choose their partners

This results in cost-effective material and space requirement data for the electrical infrastructure,

bringing about substantial savings as early as in the construction stage. In other words, you can

keep the reign on your costs. And this effective planning also pays in operations with a higher re-

turn on investment maximum room functionality attained with communication-capable products

and systems, and the option to optimize operating costs through the use of our software for intel-

ligent power management. You will benefit from an increased transparency of energy flows that

ranges from the system infeed to the consumer.

In short: Totally Integrated Power guarantees you a high long-term return on investment.

It has never been easy to plan power distribution systems for commercial, institutional and indus-

trial buildings. But it has never been more complex than today. Easy-to-use, advanced dimension-

ing software SIMARIS design reduces your expense for time-consuming routine works and pro-

vides you with an overview of the project implementation as early as in the draft stage, allowing

you to respond to changes with a minimum of expense. Your changes are input in a background

calculation process and if these modifications affect the device selection and sizing, this will im-

mediately be reported. Moreover, SIMARIS design enables optimal switchgear dimensioning:

The most economical solutions are automatically selected and can be transferred to your tender

documentation at the touch of a button. This not only guarantees a high degree of safety and

With clever planning your work is half done

  • 8/4/2019 TIP Brochure

The SIMARIS design software enables you

    to dimension power distribution projects

in an easy, fast and safe manner.

It completes every step in a minimum of

time: from the drawing of single-line

diagrams to the selection of the required

    power distribution components.

quality in your planning, it also gives you the certainty that all of the relevant technical rules and

dimensioning and installation standards are met. All requirements on human and machine safety

are complied with, with time-current characteristics being taken into account.

SIMARIS design has been certified by the TV Berlin. The tool is also used by public authorities

and insurances for results verification of submitted plans. So you are prepared for everything.

The building, which was originally planned as an office complex, might after all be needed

as a shopping center at a later date. Efficient planning with maximum flexibility in the face of

changes of use that might arise this is feasible with Totally Integrated Power, and you, the

electrical planning engineer, can focus on whats important.

Power distribution made easy and ready for fast installation in the building

Totally Integrated Power comprises components that reduce cost and expenses in this stage so that everything is on

schedule when power distribution components are being installed. The ALPHA SELECT software tool, for instance,

enables you to configure meter cabinets and distribution boards rapidly, safely and with great ease. The dimensioning

results obtained from SIMARIS design can also be directly employed for commissioning. These tools and some more

help you to complete the project design and speed up installation and commissioning. Further cost-saving potential lies

in the safe and easy-to-handle interfaces within the entire power distribution environment, to the building and to build-

ing automation. And a multitude of modular equipment, such as add-on switch panels, or rated current modules in the

circuit breaker provide for a highly flexible technical layout of the power distribution. And whats best: all components

are perfectly matched, for example, for an integrated protection scheme ranging from the medium-voltage system to

    the end user.

Minimizing operating costs even with a high level of convenience and flexibility? This is feasible

with Totally Integrated Power. Because Totally Integrated Power creates solutions that guarantee

a high degree of operating safety, which minimizes downtimes. This cuts production and work-

flow costs. Energy costs matter, especially in industrial plants. SIMATIC powercontrol, the soft-

ware for comprehensive power management, optimizes operating costs by making energy flows

from the system infeed to the consumer transparent. This software always supplies you with all

relevant energy data this way, it makes energy consumption transparent, so that you exactly

know your energy demand, which in turn puts you into the position to negotiate energy prices

with your power supply company and keep to fixed limits. Regarding your energy calculations,

Totally Integrated Power thus creates the best conditions for a perfect power management.

This means, power management using SIMATIC powercontrol creates the basis for an economical

energy procurement. In addition, SIMATIC powercontrol comprises powerful software modules*

for cost recording, maintenance, and load management, and the tool visualizes power distribution

in medium- and low-voltage systems for an event-oriented operation and monitoring.

For industrial plants, commercial buildings or properties:

SIMATIC powercontrol adopts the operators point of view,

considering the route the energy takes from procurement

to distribution and to the consumers.
