Marco Putzulu Caruana, Jeannine Cassar, Ivan Gatt, James Mizzi and Patrick Xuereb have graduated Bachelor of Science in Occupational Safety, Health and the Environment from the School of Architecture and Construction, University of Greenwich. The group was accompanied at the graduation ceremony by former Foundation for Human Resources Development CEO Maria Pia Chircop. Ms Cassar was awarded First Class Honours and the Hays Construction and Property Prize for Best Dissertation/Final Year Work. The two-year programme included modules in ergonomics, physical agents, risk assessment and management, environmental industrial pollution and management. Seven other students currently following this course should graduate by 2010. The FHRD has for the past two years acted as the local agent for the University of Greenwich's school. The FHRD also offers academic courses in human resource management and development by the Centre for Labour Market Studies, University of Leicester.
