Avoiding Liability at the District Level1.Maintain anti-bullying policies and
programs in your school district.2.Train staff to spot and stop bullying3.Take ALL reports of bullying
/harassment seriously.4.Meet with parents and students to
hear complaints of bullying/ harassment.
5.Punish the perpetrators. (Not the Victim)
Important
School districts are liable ONLY for acts of
bullying/harassment when they are aware of this activity
and fail to act reasonably.
