Bullying is different from teasing, however when teasing is done repeatedly with the intent of being hurtful or threatening, it becomes bullying. I have included a poster, over the page, which I think reflects the difference. Students must be able to swim 25 metres of at least one stroke to attend the trials as the races will be swum over 25m, 50m and 100m distances. Ribbons will be presented to placegetters for both the swimming and diving events and new swimming records may be established. Students will be transported to and from the venue by bus and the trials themselves will be between 9.30-11.30am. This will be followed by the diving between 11.30-12.30pm. Grade 9 Exeter High School Canberra Discovery Trip

From Monday 19 till Friday 23 March, a group of twenty three Grade 9

students will be travelling to Canberra for an educational tour of our nation’s

capital. These students will visit a number of sites, and participate in a variety

of educational programmes covering Australia’s history, culture, heritage and

democracy.

The Australian Government recognises the importance of all young

Australians being able to visit Canberra as a part of their education, particularly around Civics and

Citizenship and History. To assist families in meeting the cost of the excursion, the Australian Government

is contributing funding of $150 per student under the Parliament and Civics Education Rebate programme

towards these costs, allowing students to access the excursion at a subsidised rate. The school is currently

covering this cost for students, as it will be paid to the school after the trip.
