Can you remember the day, the dress, the hair appointment, the “date”, the music, the theme? Yes, we are talking about your Senior Prom! We looked through a list of top ten prom themes...At the Hop, One Enchanted Evening, Fire and Ice, Under the Sea, Midnight in Paris, Ice Castle, Moulin Rouge, and unanimously chose The Time of Our Lives for Prom 2015! For sure, Prom was fabulous, but when you mix it with quilt camp, you definitely have a winning combination. Our goal is always for you to have The Time of Your Life at camp with your friends, family, and beautiful fabric!
Nancy J’s Fabrics from Wabash, Indiana will be our in-house quilt shop. Nancy always gets a standing ovation for her quality fabrics, patterns, books, and notions. We will send you a complete list of fabric requirements, quilting supplies, and personal items needed when we receive your registration. Early birds may begin arriving any time after 10:00 am on Thursday, February 19th. There will be a continental breakfast for early bird campers on Friday morning. Dinner will be served at 6:00 pm on Friday evening for all campers which will be followed by the “official” welcome and introductions.
Look at the project list, pick out your favorites (you can easily take part in one or all of the classes), gather your fabric, and then pack your prom gown, high heels, nail polish, jewels, and hair spray for camp. We would love to see your prom pictures, so it’s time to start hunting for them.

SENIOR PROM – This beautiful quilt by Villa Rosa Designs measures 54”x 72”. It is an easy quilt to make and it is the one that first caught our eye. Once you find 12 FQ’s or 36 10” squares and a yard of contrasting fabric, you will be ready for the first dance. Nancy J has pulled together a nice FQ batik kit for this quilt. You can see it in full color on the web site and order it on the registration form.
Wall Flower – by Cluck Cluck Sew comes in three sizes. These wall flowers aren’t going to be standing on the side of the dance floor for long. Their popularity will be talked about all night long! This beautiful quilt is fairly simple to piece and has no templates. Give the 20” blocks a whirl. You will be glad you did.
Paper Roses – by Allison Designs measures 50” X 70”. Your local flower shop is going to have lots of people working overtime. Everyone will want to get in line to order their corsages, boutonniere’s, (French for button hole) and bouquets of lovely paper roses. We have wanted to make this quilt for a long time and Prom 2015 is the perfect opportunity. The quilt is super simple and will definitely show off your stash of fun bright prints. The paper roses are made on a foundation with a variety of pastels that highlight the gorgeous fabrics in the quilt.
Charmed, I’m Sure – designed by our Tennessee friends, Kathy and Kay, is in the Spring/Summer 2014 issue of the Quilt Sampler magazine. One word for this pattern—charming! They used three types of precuts- charm squares, fat quarters, and 2 ½” wide strips to make easy blocks set on point. This 69½” X 84½” quilt is fun, easy, and quite possibly the perfect choice for your favorite Jelly Roll. It’s a date!
Romantic Charm – Double the Fun! Their original Romantic Charm pattern has been in our quilt camp line up before, and we are pleased to bring it back for one more dance! It measures 63” X 80” and has a slightly different, eye catching border. Lucky Stars – by Atkinson Designs. “He called me tonight and invited me to Prom. I am thanking my Lucky Stars”! It’s time for you to count your Lucky Stars and make this quilt any size you like. Gather your FQ’s, jump into your limo, and you will definitely have the Time of Your Life creating these simple, always perfect star blocks. We love this quilt so much and have even downsized the pattern to make an adorable baby quilt.
Sweatshirt – We hope you are as excited as we are for these beautiful zip-up sweatshirts. Please fill out the apparel order form and return to camp. You must pay at the time of ordering. If you would like for your order to be mailed to your home address, please make sure you mark that on the form and add $6.00 for the cost of shipping. You may also pick up your sweatshirt at February Quilt Camp or May Quilt Camp. If you are attending February Quilt Camp, please make sure to send a camp registration form and the apparel order form, we need both! You do not need to attend February Quilt Camp to order one.
