January 2001 – Present day: Police Sergeant, Substance Misuse Dept (Licensing Unit) Durham Constabulary Responsible for supervisory duties, training, staff development and practice of criminal law. Currently

supervising a specialist team of officers addressing all aspects of licensing enforcement, working closely with Trading standards, Noise pollution, Food Safety, UK Border Agency, Federation Against Copyright

Theft, HMRC, and SIA. Covert test purchase of counterfeit products, printing and sale of clothing. Online intelligence gathering in preparation for Trademarks Act enforcement. Brand merchandising investigations and RIPA conversant.

June 1987 – January 2001: Police Constable, Durham Constabulary Responsible for core officer duties and front line policing in Chester Le Street and Durham City.

January 1985 – June 1987: Police Support Staff Plan Drawer, Durham Constabulary Headquarters. Responsible for preparation of plans relating to serious crime for use in court proceedings. Initial response
