Summer Scholarships We’re already starting to think about making plans for the summer, how about you? Whether it’s a trip to Israel, Camp Ramah, or any of the other wonderful Jewish programs around the country, we are here to help. Funds are available for all programs to Israel and summer camps that follow the guidelines set out by the Conservative Movement. To receive the Tifereth Israel Summer Scholarship form or for more information, please contact our Morgan Levin, Youth and Family Director at [email protected] or call 614-253-8523, ext. 103. Please contact Rabbi Ungar at [email protected] if you have any questions. Please be sure to get your forms in by the deadline date of February 17, 2016. Due to limited funds we are unable to accept applications after this date. One Happy Camper At Jewish camp, your child will celebrate the joy of nature every day. Whether she's practicing her diving skills, sharing stories around a campfire, or hiking through the hills, your camper will return home with a reinforced sense of wonder about the world around them (and some really cool new skills). Plant the seeds for an amazing summer. You might qualify for a $1,000 grant off camp this summer! This Week's Torah Portion in a Nutshell: MishpatimExodus Triennial Reading: (1) 23:20-25 pg. 474-475(2) 23:26-30 pg. 475-476(3) 23:31-33 pg. 476(4) 24:1-6 pg. 477-478(5) 24:7-11 pg. 478-479(6) 24:12-14 pg. 479(7) 24:15-18 pg. 479-480Maftir: 24:15-18 pg. 479-480From "Torah Sparks"

Continuing a listing of laws begun at Revelation, God sets forth rules concerning the treatment of slaves, capital offenses, punishments for causing bodily injury, responsibility over one's animals and property, caring for strangers, ethical prohibitions, festivals, obligations to God, and Divine promises.

God asks the Israelite leadership to approach Mount Sinai again. The people promise to faithfully fulfill God's commands. Moses ascends Mount Sinai, receiving stone tablets containing God's teachings.

Annual Giving CampaignOur Annual Giving Campaign is growing quickly! Thanks to three very generous $25,000 gifts, the congregation has been challenged to meet or beat that amount by raising at least another $75,000. We are so close to our goal: to date, including the challenge funds, the campaign has raised $130,350 – and more contributions are coming in every day. Information about the different opportunities for support are available online at tiferethisrael.org, or contact the synagogue office during the week. Every contribution is important, no matter what size – and every congregant is encouraged to join in this very important campaign as we invest in the future of Tifereth Israel. To arrange a meeting to discuss the campaign, send an email after Shabbat to Nancy Gurwin: [email protected].

It's Not Too Late To Hit the BricksWe're still hitting the bricks - we have already raised more than $24,280. Please consider supporting this exciting effort by making a gift that will leave a lasting legacy for all those who come to worship, learn and celebrate in the years ahead. Personalized engraved pavers are available for $100 and $180. For more info or to purchase a paver, please contact Shelley Levey at [email protected].
