ApplicationShould NOT hold any of the information considered to be part of the Woods Bagot Knowledge Base in a proprietary format within the application. Generic business rules should also be stored in WB Knowledge Base

Interface LayerWherever possible access to information should be via a browser. The exception will be when people access the desktop tools to create or change more complex documents such as CAD models.

Browser Based access to all information

CADeg: ArchiCAD

Document ManagementCreation, change & removal of all documents (text, CAD, and images etc) should be managed by document management tool

Customer Specialisation of ApplicationsThis should be persistent across product evolution

CRM:eg: Onyx

Finance

Woods Bagot’s Knowledge BaseShould contain all Data & Business Rules, stored in an open data model accessible to all applications. The structure should be based on the business objects that Woods Bagot deals with. This data base will include the design models produced by CAD. As such, its structure and format must provide WB with some protection into the future as it is not inconceivable that WB will be generating a revenue from these design models 50yrs on, as facility managers access the models over the building life cycle.

CADDesktop

User GroupsShould have the ability to personalise the information displayed according to who the user is.
