Demolition of 30m high rapid loading bunker over live railway lines

Following isolation of the working area, the cladding sheets were removed utilising a all-terrain crane and cherry picker. Note the temporary works erected to protect the control tower from

damage

Upper sections of the structure were removed 1st, following removal of the

cladding sheets

This was completed systematically by our specialist demolition plant

Following removal of the upper steel structure, the concrete and brick

elements were removed and processed on site to produce

secondary aggregates

Once the remaining steelwork structure was clean, it was

dismantled using our long reach excavator fitted with a shear

attachment

The works were completed without complication and the control tower and live railway lines continued to operate

throughout the demolition
