The Range

Dismantling Joints & Restrained Flange Adaptors are designed to provide greater versatility for the designer at the planning stage and the contractor at the installation stage of flanged pipe work systems. Dismantling Joints allow for simpler valve and pump maintenance in chambers.

Dismantling Joints are double flanged fittings that accommodate 50mm (2”) axial adjustment. For applications where a full-face flange is required, such as wafer and butterfly valves, the full-face of the spigot flange provides a full flange sealing area. Once positioned at the required length the product is locked into position with the tie rods supplied. Thereby creating a restrained connection.

DN40 - 3000mm any flange drilling up to PN64.

The Range

EvoGrip Couplings are designed to provide fully restrained joints for HDPE pipework. The coupling is suitable up to and including a working pressure of 16 bar (1600 kPa).

The EvoGrip is:- light weight & cost effective- corrosion resistant- extremely simple to install.

The EvoGrip can be used on site immediately, eliminating the cost and need for Butt Welding machines for the connection of HDPE pipe. Replacing TAK Clamps and Stub & Flange connections for HDPE pipe.

EvoGrip Couplings are available for 110mm & 160mm HDPE.

G-Flex Gripper Couplings are designed to provide fully restrained joints for metallic pipework. The coupling is suitable for working pressures from 12 to 30 bar depending on the nominal size. With its corrosion resistant stainless steel construction and full end load restraining performance, the G-Flex Gripper is ideal for the marine industry.

The G-Flex Gripper replaces:- welding; flanging; threading & grooving.

The coupling is ready to use and fitted in a matter of minutes without heavy equipment and long setup times. Manufactured from Stainless Steel with rubber seals suitable for potable water or chemicals such as various oils.

G-Flex Gripper couplings are available for steel pipe from DN20 - 350mm.

The PolyGrip Range was designed as a simple, high performance end load restraint mechanical method of joining PVC and HDPE pipe. Designed to support and grip the pipe, preventing pipe collapse and pipe end pullout. The coupling is suitable for working pressure up to 16 bar (1600 kPa).

Ready and simple to use. PolyGrip products can be installed under wet conditions without shelters, and even under water. It is ideal for on-the-spot repairs, no need for fusion jointing equipment when unexpected problems arise.

The Range

G-Flex Install Couplings are high performance couplings allowing pipe angular deflection, expansion and contraction.

G-Flex Couplings are manufactured from full stainless steel offering superior corrosion protection. The entire internal surface of the coupling is rubber lined, enabling these products to be used for harsh pipeline contents. EPDM, NBR or specialized rubber compounds are available.

G-Flex Couplings utilize a ‘self-energizing’ rubber seal. As the pressure increases, the lip seals are pressed more tightly against the pipe surface. This makes the G-Flex the best possible means of connecting GRP pipe.

G-Flex couplings are available in Stainless Steel or FBE coated mild steel from DN20 - 3000mm for virtually any pipe material.

LP Couplings are dedicated couplings designed as simple, cost effective methods of joining large diameter Structured Wall Pipes (SWP) such as:

- Starway Pipe - Weholite Pipe

Offering excellent corrosion resistance with full stainless steel construction.

The Starway Coupling is for use on Starway SWP only.

The Weholite LP Coupling is designed for joining Weholite SWP. However, the Weholite LP Coupling can be used on any pipe material of gravity fed pipelines not exceeding 1 bar (100kPa), such as Concrete.

Starway Couplings from DN200 - 2200mm. Weholite LP Couplings from DN280 - 3000mm.

Dedicated Couplings for PVC Pipe

The Range

DediFit Couplings are designed specifically for quick and simple installation on PVC pipe. The limited & dedicated operating range ensures the couplings are tight with only several turns of the nut.

DediFit Couplings are supplied in Red Oxide Fusion Bonded Epoxy corrosion protection. Sizes available include:

- 63mm- 90mm- 110mm- 160mm- 200mm- 250mm- 315mm.

All couplings are suitable for a 16 Bar Working Pressure.

The Range

Thomas Large Diameter Couplings & Adaptor Products are designed to allow several degrees of pipeline angular deflection. Ideal for accommodating misaligned pipes. Simplifying the task of the design engineer & contractor.

With input from customers, products can be designed specifically to suit certain applications. Longer barrels, higher pressures, different coatings, special steels and specialized rubber compounds are some of the non-standard components added at design stage.

A comprehensive range is available from DN700 - 3000mm. Stepped couplings join pipes of different external diameters and flange adaptors can be supplied with flanges drilled to any national or international standard, or to a customers own detailed specification with pressure ratings up to 64bar (6400kPa).

Universal Wide Range Couplings & AdaptorsThomas Unifit universal pipe couplings are designed to accommodate plain ended pipes with different outside diameters. One fitting is able to connect a wide variety of pipe materials including steel, ductile iron, PVC, cast iron, GRP and asbestos cement pipes, amongst others. The range is designed and manufactured under a strict quality management system and the products meet the requirements of SANS 1808-2 of the South Africa Bureau of Standards. All products in the range have a test pressure of 24bar on water (9bar on gas) and are suitable for 16bar working pressure for water (6bar on gas). Higher pressures up to 64bar are available on request.

Longer barrels, higher pressures, different coatings, special stainless steels and specialized rubber compounds are some of the non-standard components available. We are able to design and manufacture special couplings according to customer requirements.

Application

The Range

Easi Clamps are a cost effective means for repairing damaged pipes of higher working pressure. They are installed around the pipe over the damaged area. Easi Clamps offer +/- double the working pressure of a similar size Stainless Steel Pipe Repair Clamp (see Ultra Clamp) & can also be used to close up openings made in pipe walls for inspection purposes.

Easi Clamps are manufactured from mild steel and supplied epoxy coated. They operate as full circumferential pipe repair clamps, complete with a stainless steel armour plate vulcanized into the rubber seal at the time of moulding. Easi Clamps should not be used to join pipes, however they are suitable for repairing circumferential pipe breaks.

DN40 - 1200mm.

Permanent Pressure Pipe Repair

Superior Pressure Rating

The Range

The G-Flex Repair Coupling is ideal for situations where a permanent repair of a pressure pipeline is required. Simply open up the coupling, wrap it around the damaged pipe and tighten the bolts. The pipe is repaired within minutes, thereby avoiding costly downtime. Being internally rubber lined and manufactured from Stainless Steel, the G-Flex Repair Coupling exhibits excellent corrosion resistance.

G-Flex Repair Couplings offer the highest pressure rating of any wrap around pipe repair clamp or coupling. Traditional Stainless Steel Pipe Repair Clamps (such as the Ultra Clamp) are unable to match the working pressure rating of a G-Flex Repair Coupling.

DN20 - 3000mm for virtually any pipe material.

Repair Collar

Application

The Range

For the Repair of:- Leaking Bell & Spigot Pipe Joints- Leaking AC or GRP Pipe Collars- Leaking Couplings.

Repair Collars are made to order offering a quick and economical method of repairing leaking pipe joints. Creating a flexible joint that uses the same sealing principles as a standard mechanical coupling.

Repairs Collars offer massive savings to the pipeline operator as the pipeline need not be emptied or cut in order to install the product to make the repair. Repair Collars are installed directly over the leaking joint or coupling without removing the existing leaking joint or coupling.

Application

Permanent Repair

The Range

The Ultra Clamp Series is a comprehensive range of stainless steel pipe repair clamps for rigid pipe materials. They should not be used to join pipes.

Ultra Clamps are available in various clamp lengths (up to 1200mm wide) and they are suitable for virtually any pipe material. Ultra Clamp products from DN40mm and greater are supplied as full circumferential repair clamps, complete with a stainless steel armour plate vulcanized into the rubber seal at the time of moulding. Ultra Clamps are constructed from 100% stainless steel and therefore offer a permanent repair for many types of pipe damage such as cracks, holes and corrosion pitting. Special sizes and widths, and high speed manufacturing for urgent breakdowns are available on request .

The Range

Fabricated PolyGrip Fittings were designed as simple, high performance, full end load restraint, mechanical, socketed fittings for PVC and HDPE pipe. PolyGrip Fittings, Couplings, Flange Adaptors and Restraining Harnesses are designed to support and grip the pipe, preventing pipe collapse and pipe end pullout. PolyGrip fittings are suitable for a working pressure of up to 16 bar (1600 kPa). Fabricated PolyGrip Fittings of any shape can be manufactured to order, including bends, equal & un-equal tees, scour tees, crosses, puddle pipes etc...

Cast Ductile Iron Fittings for PVC pipe are the most economical method of introducing small bore fittings into a PVC pipeline. By combining a PolyGrip Harness with a Cast Ductile Iron Fitting, it can be used as a fully restrained fitting for PVC or HDPE pipe.

PolyGrip Products are available from OD90 - 315mm.

Application

Socketed Fittings

The Range

Fittings such as Tees, Bends, Reducers, Puddle Pipes etc., are manufactured to order. Corrosion protection coatings such as Carboline or Sigmaguard can be specified.

A socketed fitting is a fabricated steel fitting with a socketed end that consists of a self contained ‘half coupling’ that is suitable for virtually all rigid pipe materials. Plain ended pipe materials such as PVC, GRP and Ductile Iron can be inserted directly into the socketed fitting. Thus eliminating the need for special step couplings and providing special fittings suitable for all rigid pipe materials.

Application

Advantages

The Range

Strainers remove damage causing particulate matter from the pipeline media, protecting system components such as flow meters, pumps, mechanical seals and valves. The particulate matter is captured in the strainer basket. The pipeline is then temporarily shut down and the basket removed for cleaning or replacement.

‘Y’ Strainers are common place in pipelines and they offer an affordable and effective product. They are generally readily available up to DN300mm.

DN50 - 300mm, PN10-16.Larger ‘Y’ Strainers can be imported on request.

Advantages of a Pot Strainer

The Range

Pot Strainers reduce downtime for cleaning due to their construction including a bolted top cover and easily removable screen. They are accessed from above making them far easier to clean and replace the screen. Screens can be manufactured from any material, Stainless Steel Grade 316 is the preferred standard. Lifting eyes and handles are supplied on the cover plate of larger pot strainers enabling easier removal and replacement thereof.

‘Y’ Strainers are cleaned from underneath, often resulting in difficult access.

Pot Strainers can be manufactured to customer requirements including specialized coatings and dimensions.

Ductile Iron Saddles for PVC pipe are dedicated saddles specific to PVC pipe. A dedicated range is available for pipes from OD63 - 200mm with branch outlet sizes of DN25mm or DN50mm female screwed BSP sockets.

The saddle head includes a moulded rubber seal that extends below and up into the saddle outlet. The castings are drilled & tapped eliminating loose nuts and washers.

The Range

Buffalo Saddles are designed to offer the installer a universal saddle that will accommodate almost all rigid pipes diameters of a single nominal bore.

The Buffalo Saddle utilizes a stainless steel strap band that is tightened via fasteners on each side of the saddle head. The length of the fastener enables the strap band to be assembled around pipes of up to 20mm diameter variance. Single strap and double strap saddle heads are available with BSP screwed outlets from DN20 - 100mm or flanged outlets from DN50 - 100mm.

In conjunction with our Under Pressure Drilling kit, Buffalo Saddles and Easi Tees enable quick, economic and trusted Tap In solutions.

For pipes from DN50 - 600mm with branch outlet sizes from DN20 - 100mm.

Under pressure drilling is the precise process of drilling a hole into a flowing pipe system without leaking its contents or interrupting flow. We design and manufacture tapping saddles and tees that can be tailor made to your individual requirements, you install them and tap into a live operational pipeline with an Under Pressure Drilling (UPD) kit.

If customers do not want to purchase a UPD, we have the facility to Tap In for our customers using our in house equipment.

Under Pressure Drill kits are sold neatly packed in a robust steel box ready for use.
