    o Wrote a letter of support for James Patton’s R21 grant application to study the role of Dot1l in retina regeneration. I will provide expertise and my modified exonuclease Cas9 fusion protein (Clements et al 2017, Genesis) to help create a

  • conditional loss of function allele of Dot1l. Students will gain experience in this endeavor in the lab course.

    • Made an additional collaboration with Biological Science Professor Seth Bordenstein to KO genes using CRISPR in the wasp Nasonia vitripennis

    • Continued this work and focused primarily on the collaborations made with Lauren Jackson (zebrafish) and Seth Bordenstein (Nasonia vitripennis)

    • Worked to identify and compare both human and canine glioblastoma (GBM). • Specifically, maintained a human and a canine cell line, created various

    • Responsible for course design (including lab materials, HW, and quiz preparation), planning, lecturing, and met with the students in groups outside of class once per week to make sure they were on task.

    • BIOC 111 is a half semester course, but I worked with three sections in the Fall 2015 semester (50% effort), three sections in the Spring 2016 semester (75% effort), two sections in Fall 2016 (75% effort), and three sections in Spring 2017 (90% effort).
