Centerville Concert Association: Amit Peled this Thursday Amit (Ahmeet) Peled, world-renowed cellist, will appear in Centerville on Thursday, Nov. 13 at the Simon Estes Auditorium at 7:30 p.m. His program is titled “CELLOBRATION,” and includes both familiar classical pieces as well a few of a lighter nature. From the United States to Europe to the Middle East and Asia, Israeli cellist Amit Peled, is a musician of profound artistry and charismatic stage presence. He is acclaimed as one of the most exciting instrumentalists on the concert stage today. He is a strong advocate of breaking the boundaries between performers and the public and trying to promote and share classical music with wider audiences. One of the most sought after cello pedagogues in the world, Peled is a professor at the Peabody Conservatory of Music of the Johns Hopkins University and plays a rare Andrea Guarneri Cello ca. 1689. His appearance is part of the 2014-2015 Concert Series and is included in the season ticket for Centerville Concert Association members. Individual tickets are $15 at the door. Students can get free tickets at school.

Crisis Intervention Services provides comprehensive outreach services to survivors of sexual abuse in Centerville and all of Appanoose County. All of our services are free and confidential. Please call our sexual assault crisis line at 1-800-270-1620 for support, empowerment, and referral information from crisis counselors 24 hours a day. How You Can Help: Share Information. If you know someone who has been abused,

listen without judging. Encourage them to call our confidential crisis line. Donate. CIS is a private, non-profit organization supported by local, state, and federal grants and donations from individuals, organizations, and corporations in our communities. We need your support in our efforts to end violence in the lives of others. Contact our Volunteer Coordinator at [email protected] if you’re interested in donating or organizing a donations drive for CIS. Volunteer. CIS is looking for volunteers in Appanoose County who are willing to be first responders and crisis advocates for victims in the county.
