then ever, and the Walk of Fame is the perfect

gateway to the unique Philadelphia sound.

the week. Or, for a musical experience on a

grander scale, visit the magnificent Kimmel

Center, home to the Philadelphia Orchestra

and an eclectic array of performers.

The Walk of Fame is the creation of the

Philadelphia Music Alliance, a community-

based, not-for-profit organization dedicated to

preserving and promoting Philadelphia’s rich

musical legacy by increasing awareness of the

city’s great musical tradition and supporting the

current music scene.

Established in 1986, the Alliance is Philadelphia’s

music authority. The Alliance promotes the vast

contributions of Philadelphians from all music gen-

res, and encourages the creation, celebration
