Volcano Transfer StationThis is where Volcano
residents take their household rubbish
and recyclables.
Hours are: Mon./Thur./Sat.
from 6am to 6pm.
Entrance and Exitif gate is closed people walk up and deposit
rubbish in the chute or just leave it by the gate.
Two Recycle Bins with a Ramp
These bins switch sides when a new bin is dropped off or picked up..
Metal ramp to recycle bins is not ADA compliant and not safe for wheelchairs/walkers.
Embankment is loose rock held up by rotting logs and is not safe. Guardrail is attached to a nearly hollow rotten log.
One Waste Chute
Beams of Rotted-out Logs are loosely holding up the
rusty guardrails with rusty bolts, wires and nails, plants grow from posts.
Bullet-ridden signs are hard to readand create insecurity and confusion among residents using the transfer station.
